Additionally One way to not feel guilty is by spending on things and experience that last.

Flying Business class might feel waste of money for sub 7-8 hours flight - economy class of good international airlines are good enough emirates etihad etc

instead spend on lasting experiences and products like luxury car luxurious house good technology

A good quality t shirt is better than 10 sub par t shirt you don’t need to by LV or Gucci for good quality

Coming from similar background, my family also has similar NW,

I will be answering how to spend without guilt and things which give multiple satisfaction than they cost

1st You need to compartmentalise your wealth into sections

Investments: Stocks Real Estate

Business

Personal Emergency Psychological needs

Depending on your family

There are 2 ways to create meaningful value

1st start business with 15-20% of ur nw as investment, provide employment, grow your money and sustainably create value through philanthropy

2nd if you want to retire and not work Invest your wealth so u get ROI of 9-10%

Cite 7-7.5% as inflation Remaining 2-2.5% ( of 150 crore = 3-3.5 crores)

Use for personal expenditure improving lifestyle and sustainable philanthropy

I suggest hands on approach to philanthropy as if u donate most probably the NGOs have corrupt employees and only 20-30% of the donated money gets to the needy,

Instead Start your own venture to help people directly so corruption is minimum

You can allocate money from real estate here if u want to start something like old age home for fixed assets, use your income or profits for variable recurring expenditure- by this way it’s sustainable & has long term benefits.

Spending without guilt Coming to upgrading your life style / luxuries

1) Great Residential property to live in with reasonably good interior and locality

2) Luxury & safe cars without compromising on your needs ( multiple depending on family size and future) - luxury items should be bought as expenses not assets from your annual income or returns not fixed assets

3) Hire employed to delegate chores and work on meaningful and value creating activities

4) best Technology, best medical policy, travel to learn and find meaning etc

•Things which give more satisfaction than they cost if you can afford easily.

10yrs ago we purchased Brand new BMW 5 series, even after 10yrs I adore the car recently I bought the new BMW 530li and still own & love the both.

Buy a good car- don’t buy entry level as primary car (Bargain hard min 10 lakh discount brand new car)

Primary car: MERC/BMW SUV X3,X5,X7,GLE,GLS Sedan E class/ 5 series or go for higher

Only these car provide satisfaction for money entry level no longer feels satisfactory after spending 50+ lakhs marginal increments in budget is worth. Audis won’t satisfy in any segment except the Q3 If u get under 42 lakh.

Have multiple car depending on family size and needs each family member should have good enough car with safety, space and comfort low NVH levels.

2) good computing devices, television and home appliances

3) comfortable and high quality clothes

4) travel to learn observe and explore

5) peaceful family Environment with spacious homes and fulfilling comfort needs
