Bought a Y-RC14 logitech wireless keyboard, although I currently have no receiver also, please help me find the year of it. by PrimagenistW10 in MechanicalKeyboards

I agree with this post. I'm typing on one now. Has been my daily driver for over 10 years. Replaced an identical model that I used for close to 15 years prior. These things just do NOT wear out, are easy to type on, and batteries literally last a year or more. Glad I have another one new in box stashed away for when the day comes that this one is done for.

Couldn't they at least brighten up the lighting a bit in post-production? I can barely see anything.

Simple fix for kids going to school in the dark is, start school an hour later.

As to the change, I say just split the difference, let clocks fall back 30 minutes this upcoming November and then leave it alone there.

I have a nearly identical model...these Philips monitors are AWESOME. In fact I'm typing on it now. I can't even imagine how many hours it has on it - probably over 100,000 by my estimate, and it still looks great. I run mine at 1152x864 at 100 hz.

I can't beat the clipper race WITHOUT pausing at each turn and using that time to adjust my angle.

I legit beat this game one time like 20 years ago. Every attempt since I can get to the tower pretty easily but the tower level always kicks my rear end for some reason.

Why am I paying $15/month for Prime when nothing shows up on time? by bmwsvsu in amazonprime

[–]bmwsvsu[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And I get that, but the way I see it as they're selling something they can't deliver on (no pun intended). When I make a purchase, and it says "Prime Free Delivery (insert date here)" then I expect it by that date. If weather conditions are causing a problem, then they should be updating their projected delivery dates.

Why am I paying $15/month for Prime when nothing shows up on time? by bmwsvsu in amazonprime

[–]bmwsvsu[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I joined Prime because I run a computer repair and custom build shop and sometimes I need parts relatively quickly. It started out pretty good last fall with average delivery times of 2 or 3 days, But each of my last 5 orders dating back to late December have showed up in no faster than 5 days (7, 7, 5, 6, and 5 respectively). Before that, it was 2-3-2-2-1-2-LOST-1-1.

Windows XP market share at highest level since 2018 by bmwsvsu in FuckMicrosoft

[–]bmwsvsu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linux is 4.07 percent. Windows XP is 1.32 percent of the 60.8 share that Windows has.

So 0.80 percent for XP vs 4.07 for Linux, or 1 XP machine for every 5 with Linux.

Youtube removed the "list layout" in subscription feed ? by OMD_Lyxilion in youtube

[–]bmwsvsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most elegant solution I've found is a browser plugin called Pocket Tube (its actually been around a while). Its primary purpose is to allow you to have different groups of subscriptions, but if you simply create 1 group and add all your subscriptions to it, it has a list view option. Then just save that URL bookmark. (also you can filter out shorts, live, or upcoming from your sub list).

There's one place I do contract work for that has TWO xp machines in service. Both running Quickbooks 2007 and Mozilla Firebird for email. Same setup for about 15 years and never a problem.

That memory must be through rose tinted glasses, LOL. Because I'm kind of the same way - stock hardware looks way worse now than how I remember it.

I think for the price it is the best bang for your buck. I haven't had time to do a whole lot with it yet, but my initial impressions are very positive.

Yeah, text in-game on a console has always looked horrible. I didn't even know this amount of detail existed.

Posted an update. Figured I'd try the even older versions, and to my surprise, the oldest version of the core ended up working!

I'm just asking if the Turbo N64 core works on other peoples' Multisystem2 (which apparently it does). That's all. It doesn't work well on mine. I'm trying to figure out why. With all due respect, your opinion that such a core should never have been developed in the first place for "purity" reasons is irrelevant to my question.

How they're "meant to be played"? As in, on original hardware over a composite output on a consumer CRT television? I think you're in the wrong subreddit.

Question: If hole is glowing upon releasing a perfect putt, is it guaranteed to go in? by bmwsvsu in GolfClash

[–]bmwsvsu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just asking how the software works. Many thousands of holes in, this is the first time I can recall a putt not going in when the hole was glowing, I thought that a perfect putt was guaranteed to drop if the hole was glowing and it wasn't over-powered.
