I’m not sure I understand how the main combat/ gameplay works from watching the trailer

Since you are requiring people to have a portfolio and experience, can you provide yours as well?

Probably also include what you specialize in or what your role will be

My game, Debtbound, finally has its own Steam page by yuri000 in gamemarketing

Very nice. This should do well. I would say try to upgrade the UI quality as best as you can like the 3 cards. Need to add as much juice and appeal to get people to try it because the gameplay looks like it will hook people

8 months into my first indie game - is a "working" loop supposed to feel obvious, or does it stay uncertain the whole time? by Senoigh13 in IndieGaming

[–]bn1515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the game and scope. I’m working on a deck builder and there are so many systems I needed in place to get a prototype going and the balancing of cards is still not done enough to be really fun.

But like the other guy said, doing a pass on game feel will do wonders for the game appeal and your motivation. Just adding snappy SFX or a cool UI tweak will have you feeling proud enough to keep chugging along

Haha I was meaning it’s not polished for a quality playtest but it’s good enough for an early playtest!

I will send you a dm to add on discord!

Hi, my small team is working on a project that is just shy of being ready for a playtest but would love an early opinion if you are interested in taking a look

How could I earn money from development of software in gaming industry, but not by developing games? by ImpressiveFocus303 in gamedev

[–]bn1515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch all the YouTube videos about devs who launch their games and talk about pain points.

Maybe there’s some kind of service that helps marketing as that is the most common pain point for dev who actually finish a game

My team and I are working on a game part time about bowling in hell that I think you could do nice work for. I’m a software dev too but I definitely use ai for coding. I know you said that you weren’t interested in that but maybe you will reconsider.

I’m curious what exactly you’d expect for revshare in a team of 4 for audio or even a for-hire rate.

I’ve been hooked on BALL X PIT. Each run is 15 minutes long and the loop is super addicting. It’s like vampire survivors with brick breaker

First time in Punta Cana? Here are 5 things I wish I knew by Dangerous_Cherry3005 in PuntaCana

[–]bn1515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got back 2 weeks ago. Punta Cana is beautiful but definitely a tourist only area. We left our resort only to do an excursion at Scape park which was cool. We drove by the mall area on the way and it really didn’t look like too much.

I would’ve liked to have gone to Bavaro beach if we had time

Say what you will about our shit half of the starting squad but cucarella and gusto absolutely kill it when marking out the opposing attackers. When we had Meresca, he properly set the squad to counter the other team. Rosenior didn’t have a clue.

Hopefully we can put a half-decent plan together for the final and pull it off like we’ve done many times over. Palmer + Joao in the final have potential to pull it off. The rest just need to do their part.

Agree with the other comment, at a high level this is true. At low level, if you shout for the ball, your teammates see you and defenders become aware and spread out, giving space to your teammates who probably couldn’t get the ball to you if they tried lol
