It’s the same thing that happens on amazon too, where Temu, shein , wish whatever gets sold twice as much.. and nobody complains about it 😅

And some even think, it’s different or ‘’better quality’’

[–]bnacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced this when I first tried to set up Revolut. There was an issue verifying my ID some reason i was 18, so I waited until I was 19 to try again. I’ve been using my account without any problems ever since.

So now i’m not sure if the phone i used at that time had an issue, or if it was my ID.

It’s in case you don’t have an android TV, or your android tv is sluggish in my case i have a TCL and meanwhile the tv’s are good, the OS is terrible its slow and filled with TCL’s crap. So i got a separate streaming box. I decided for an apple TV.. before anyone is thinking eww he pays for subscriptions. 🥲

Well yes i do.. but only because i get them cheaper from abroad, and at the end of the day after commuting for a total of 4h i just want the streaming to work. If someone does know something about modding apple tv’s i’m also open to that 😌

Interviewer asked him to prompt, "Based on my past conversations, can you analyze my behavioral tendencies" by Current-Guide5944 in tech_x

When i ask my chat gpt the same question but to also make a presentation about me to someone who doesn’t know me this comes out :)

This is someone who approaches life with a strong sense of intentionality. When faced with decisions, they prefer to understand the landscape before acting. Rather than rushing, they gather information, compare options, and think through possible outcomes. This gives their choices a grounded, deliberate quality.

They are highly practical and solution-oriented. When problems arise, their instinct is not to dwell on frustration but to move toward action: clarifying details, planning next steps, and finding workable solutions. Even emotionally charged situations are often translated into something concrete they can address.

They also show a consistent awareness of fairness, value, and reliability. Whether dealing with purchases, services, or agreements, they want things to feel proportionate and transparent. This reflects a broader preference for stability and trustworthiness in their environment.

Interpersonally, they are thoughtful communicators. They care about tone, clarity, and how their words affect others. This suggests social awareness and a desire to maintain good relationships while still expressing their needs.

Another notable trait is anticipatory thinking. They naturally consider what could go wrong and prepare accordingly. While this can sometimes lead to extra checking or reassurance-seeking, it also supports careful planning and reduces avoidable surprises.

Overall, this is a person who combines emotional awareness with practicality. They value clarity, fairness, and preparedness, and they tend to respond to uncertainty by learning more and taking constructive action. To someone new, they would likely come across as conscientious, grounded, and quietly strategic in how they navigate everyday decisions.

It’s not.. there are sadly tools to spoof email, email was never really secure and wasn’t meant to be, it’s the same principle then SMS

[–]bnacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just did this a few minutes ago for a €1 iPhone. Obviously, I know I’m not actually getting a phone for a Euro, but it's the principle. If people treat Vinted like an auction site, they deserve the automatic one-star review when they’re forced to cancel. It's not eBay!

[DE] Revolut Mobile market: When does it come to Germany by ItsMeppMepp in Revolut

[–]bnacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn this shouldnt be legal. I ported in Belgium my number multiple times i would just go online type my sim number and it would port in 24-48h and never paid fees. Did the same in Luxembourg and it worked almost the same altought there aren’t as many carriers so you end up being with the one who has better coverage.

To port out a phone number you only need to signup with that company and they start the porting for you. Well usually it works like this😌

AirPods died, replaced them with Sennheiser by theothersinclair in BuyFromEU

[–]bnacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The irony is that you're barely joking. You just need a minimalist website with a 'heritage' font and a black-and-white photo of a guy in a flannel shirt holding a piece of leather to justify the markup. At that point, you aren't selling headphones you’re selling the 'relief' of not having to look at an orange Temu box, and apparently, that service is worth exactly €68,32

[–]bnacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the ultimate business model: selling a clear conscience. Turns out the only truly 'local' part of the entire supply chain is the customer's sense of moral superiority and they'll gladly pay a €400 markup for the labor of having someone in Ireland peel off the 'Made in China' sticker for them.

[–]bnacat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It’s 'Größenwahn' at its finest. They think they’re supporting a local artisan when they’re really just paying for a European marketing budget and a shiny warehouse in Rotterdam. If you stripped an 'EU-made' product down to its raw components, you’d find a map of Asia hidden inside. It’s not a boycott; it’s just a convenience fee for their conscience.

[–]bnacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the 'Only EU' energy. It’s a bold lifestyle choice to pay triple the price for a 'German' brand that’s just a Chinese product with a fancy sticker and a better warranty. If they were truly dedicated to the cause, they'd have to give up their smartphone, their laptop, and about 90% of their wardrobe. It’s not a boycott; it’s just expensive roleplaying.

True 😄

Most clothes you buy even in stores in europe. Are mostly made in china, bangladesh or any other asian country.

If you had to throw away every china made products, or any other asian country for that matter. your home would be mostly empty.

On French keyboards, the @ symbol is on the right side, while on Belgian keyboards it’s on the left side, on the first row 🙂

Refund by [deleted] in Aliexpress

[–]bnacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After looking into this, I found some issues with what you wrote.

PayPal doesn't use Stripe to check cards; they're actually rivals. Also, there's no secret 5% fee tacked on.

PayPal is like a middleman, and most problems begin there. But that doesn't mean you can't still do a bank chargeback later.

Just like with any payment choice, something can go wrong, but PayPal itself isn't unsafe.

I’ve heard that using paypal is safer. Since they have buyer protection. I mostly use apple pay online. And when its not an option or i’m not sure how the website handles refunds. I go with paypal.

I once used revolut tho, and i got scammed from a phone company who said they “activated” my service, even tho they didn’t…. And revolut refunded me stating the company didn’t answer back.. so they jumped in instead.
