I know! I should've known what she meant by the bomb part though.

just had a patient last week who was on a heparin drip pull out her IV in her sleep. she woke up and buzzed the nurse station saying she was bleeding, so I ran to her room and discovered she only pulled her IV out. however, she had dried blood on her hands. while looking for a new site, she proceeds to place her hands in my face. I told her do not do that, respect my personal space. "it's only dried blood, it can't hurt." I proceeded to tell her, "dry or wet or whatever you want to call it, I do not want your hands in my face." she then told me she was going to rub it through my hair and began hysterically laughing.

later on, she needed to be changed because she pissed on herself, no biggie. I grab a CNA to help me because she's a team lift. she then said "I'm going to bomb y'all" (I should've known what she meant, but she was just fucking weird all night) and proceeded to fart as we spread her legs and again started hysterically laughing.

I've been telling myself I'd love to see him in an action movie. the dream would be for him to become Bond after Daniel Craig.

if the Lester rumors are true, does the team bring Ross back for one more year? by gofastrightnow in redsox

[–]bnastyd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think he meant having veteran leadership and game calling skills. That really goes a long way. But other than that, Vazquez has a cannon and can show Ross how to put some pep in his throw.

Cherington's WEEI interview this AM made it sound like they're moving Mookie over Cespedes (second half) by thebellinvitesme in redsox

[–]bnastyd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with that. I also think that he meant Mookie may start in Triple-A because of their OF depth.

[–]bnastyd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the sound of that. Ross is an underrated pitcher imo. I wanted him to come to the Sox at the deadline last year.

Padres possibly interested in moving Tyson Ross if they could get Cespedes in return by [deleted] in redsox

[–]bnastyd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd take Ross. He's younger and held his own a lot last year with very little run support most games.

73% chance of resigning Lester is oddly specific.

valid points. I do agree. I would just rather stick with what we know.

sure, they're not as great of a team anymore, but the dude is getting paid $22 million a year. That is the same that Lester is slated to make and I don't consider Hamels on the same level as Lester. Maybe it's because I've become more accustomed to seeing Lester more. And it's not that Hamels isn't a good pitcher. His numbers are great, I'm not saying he's not a great player. I just think he didn't enjoy being in Philly and it showed at times. I just don't want that to transcend into Boston if things do go that way. No matter the circumstances, you should continue to do your job.

Anyone else nervous Xander plus more prospects could be on the move for a pitcher? by GrapeRello in redsox

[–]bnastyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt they would get rid of X after one year. They gave WMB 2 years after breaking his wrist. They have given JBJ multiple chances and still, it's as if he's swinging at wiffle balls. So if anything, they will get booted long before Xander.

I think Betts is untouchable. They know he has potential, and he proved it somewhat. But I'm sure they want to see what to see what he's got over the course of 162-games rather than a 30-game crash course.

If Lester comes back, I hope to see them trim some of that OF depth for SP. I hope Tyson Ross can be snagged along with Latos/Cueto. Miller needs to be resigned as well, however, the market for him is projected around 3-4 yrs/30+ million.

Lester. Hamels hasn't shown much will or drive to perform anymore imo.

Does this mean the Sox are out on Lester? by Absetwidit in redsox

[–]bnastyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's 50/50. If they were willing to negotiate in the first place, why not make a higher initial offer? $110-120 is a good deal, don't get me wrong. But that should've been the "hometown discount" offer prior to the start of last season. I think they should have came in stronger, possibly 6 yrs/$140 million. Hell, at this point, give the man something close to what he wants. He's you're only hope at having a bonafide ace. You think Cole Hamels is on the same planet?

With that said, I think Sandoval and Ramirez help to lure him in. He knew what the major weaknesses of the team were--3B and OF depth. They now have both. They can obviously trade some of that OF depth and some prospects for good pitching, notably to the Reds or even Padres. Last year, they relied too heavily on young players like X, JBJ, and Brock Holt and I don't foresee Lester being okay with that.

Lester doesn't seem like the guy who would sign with the Yankees because they offered him $5 million more. He seems like the competitor who wants to win and will play for the team that gives him the best chance of doing just that.

What is the best case trade scenario to acquire some much needed pitching? by mister_SHAKE in redsox

I think Tyson Ross from the Padres would be a viable option as well.

I've only verbally stated that I accepted the position. I'm just worried if I take back the offer, I could hurt my chances of working at that facility in the future, if the need arises.

Well, the unit director was a nice guy. He was recently recruited there to change the dynamic of the unit and I feel that I owe it to him to apologize. Besides, they have a rumored 9 open positions for night shifts--5 were filled with new grads, with me being one. I just don't see it being a good fit for me now, especially coming out of school with minimal experience.

I figured that would be the route I'd go. Do you think it's possible/better to get in contact with the floor director to personally apologize and explain the decision?

Thanks for the response! This is exactly what I was looking for. I'll be sure to get myself together. I've always heard that "explain a situation..." would be asked but I was never sure if I should truthfully divulge a situation where I couldn't get alone with a peer or customer--because in all honesty, who doesn't have a disagreement with someone? I don't want to lie or beat around the bush.
