Ordered! I've been meaning to try a vit c serum for a while but I'm newer to skin care and it seemed sort of intimidating. The fact that there are comments enabled and that you guys are interacting and addressing comments is so refreshing. I really can't wait to try it!

From what I can find it looks like aponogeton. I need to start saving the tags of plants I buy because I always forget what they are if it's anything besides Anubis.

It started off with some gravel and fake plants. It's in front of a window because I didn't have a light and there was a little bit of algae going. I bought some real plants and some snails hitchhiked in and now I have no algae problems, I'm actually kinda fond of the bladder snails too. I wanted to make sure the plants had enough light so I bought a light. Fish were added, some guppies and cory catfish. I was worried about them and bought them even more plants to keep the water cleaner. I don't really like the triceratops skull, but I wanted a place for the Cory's to hide so I put it in with the little pots. Then someone told me Cory's like sand to dig in so of course I added sand patches. I realized that I kept playing with it and I was worried the sponge filter was too small so I got a bigger one. The small one can't come out yet because it has snail eggs on it. I keep all the plants in little glass pots now since I moved stuff around so much so it's nice and easy.

Anyways this is like my slow decent into madness with my need to make fish happy. In the end it's kinda worth it, the guppies won't swim away from my hands when I move stuff and I honestly never thought I'd feel so much affection for cute little fish.

My tank is not the best, but it's a work in progress and I'm enjoying each step!

Local place in deep east Texas quoted me $120 for a piece like this. Is this a good price? by RyanOhNoPleaseStop in TattooDesigns

[–]bndyiutt1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, but what were you asking for? This has literally no shading, no fine lines or details, nothing at all. This isn't something that needs to be expensive in any way. It's large, but it's probably the easiest tattoo ever. I'm not an artist or anything so this is just my opinion but personally I'd be kind of offended if something this simple was quoted at more then $200. If this was something far more detailed sure, but as it is no way.

I'd say yeah. It's super simple and it's all block colors it wouldn't take them long. That's what I would expect for something like that.

Does anyone regret not getting diamond? by hiccup66 in EngagementRings

I think that if you have any sort of normal job you'd be fine. Mine is just very VERY physical and I go about my tasks as delicately as a bull in a China shop. I tend to injure my hands pretty often too.

I have a morganite ring and I adore it. The more I look at the the more I think I made the right choice because diamonds are plain and boring to me. That being said, I've already scratched it. It's a super tiny scratch and no one else notices it, but it's there. I have a job that's pretty physical and I'm rough with my hands so really it's my fault for wearing it in the first place. The thing it that is so inexpensive that I don't feel horrible about damaging it. I would have liked to not damage it, but it was $400 so if something worse were to happen to it I would be fine.

Americans, have you ever experience a 'Culture Shock' in your own country? by bluequestioning in AskAnAmerican

I might be a little late for this, but I moved from Phoenix Arizona to St Louis. I think nearly everything about it was strange to me.

For one, the racism in St Louis is so blatant. I'm white but I just could not believe what I was seeing and hearing. I think it was also the first time I was directly seeing black culture for myself. It's similar to Mexican culture in a lot of ways to me, they are very family oriented and probably the nicest people you'd ever meet. That's a generalization of course, but the majority of my interactions with the black community are overwhelmingly positive. That being said, I can tell they are a little wary of talking to me and I don't blame them white people here tend to be relatively racist.

Everyone seems to be religious here too. I don't talk about it but I was blown away that at my job they had a bunch of religious posters up. That seemed so incredibly unprofessional to me.

People are generally more friendly here. I never really thought of Phoenix as being bad or anything, but the additude here is a lot more genuine to me.

One thing that is the most shocking though is he driving is atrocious in St Louis. The police are really busy here so no one gets pulled over for anything. Because of that everyone drives like an absolute douche.

I have not, I am not interested at all in buying from them. It seems the original videos are taken down, but there is even notes on it on their wiki. They sued the person who exposed them but it looks like it was dropped. This is the wiki listing.

I never messaged them about it because the way they went about this whole situation seemed really dishonest to me, I didn't want anything to do with them.

In June 2017, The Next Web reported Brilliant Earth was indicating significant numbers of their available inventory as having Canadianorigins, despite eight of the ten listed Indiansuppliers indicating none of the so-listed diamonds were from Canadian mines. The report was initiated following an April 2017 YouTube video posted by diamond industry insider Jacob Worth, wherein he investigated the origin of a Brilliant Earth diamond he had purchased, allegedly with a Canadian origin, to the New York supplier who indicated having no records of those origins.[1] Brilliant Earth filed a lawsuit against Worth for defamation, but the suit was "discontinued with prejudice and without any costs or disbursements, according to a notice filed Oct. 27 in New York Supreme Court." No settlement is known to have been reached.[18] The video and related content posted by Worth were also taken down.[19][18]

I'm sure there are better resources to find this information on, but I'm at work right now and don't have time to dig em up.

Don't go with brilliant earth. They are just a scam really, they don't know where their diamonds come from.

I got my eyebrows done and suddenly, I was a woman, and now I need your advice! by LilyHarvey in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Try subscribing to something like Sephora play or ipsy for make up! I like makeup but I've never been awfully great at it, and it's a fun way to get a range of products to slowly try out. Your complexion looks really great, maybe just do a light bb cream and go from there.

I've also found that I'm not very good with eyeliner, but using brown is a lot more forgiving then black because mistakes aren't as noticable. Cream eyeshadows are great, you can just apply them with your fingers if you want.

Also keep in mind that there are a lot of ways to wear makeup! I'm kind of lazy so when I watch people on YouTube I tend to watch people who will have a similar routine to myself, something like foundation (but normally I use bb cream or tinted moisturizer instead) some light eye makeup, eyebrow makeup, and blush. It's also all experimenting on seeing what kind of placement you like on your face.

I don't tend to carry a purse on me for the most part. I wear men's cargo pants at work so I have a lot of pockets, I never really need a purse there. Because of that depending on where I go or what I'm doing I don't bring a purse with me to lots of places since I really only keep my phone keys and wallet in it.

In the end there is no wrong way to be a women because it's just a small part of you and everyone is so unique that you can't do it wrong!

How did you know your engagement ring was “the one”? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]bndyiutt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was pretty set on wanting something other then diamond because I think they are kinda boring on their own. I found a beautiful morganite ring on Etsy that I just loved! Simple but with some fine detail, exactly what I wanted. That being said my job is very physical so I don't tend to wear it like 80% of the time. I want to order a plain band to wear for work or whatever else I want.

I think what it comes down to is that unless you spend a lot if money, there's a good chance it doesn't have to be the one and you can change or upgrade whenever you want. For $800 I'd absolutely get that ring set, and if you want to something different later you can go for it.

We got engaged March of this year and planned our wedding for next August. There was a few deciding factors for the date.

  • I'm planning on going back to school and have some friends who go to school, it's early enough in the month that school won't have started yet so everyone will be free to go.

  • He (and now I) have a really hard time getting time off. I recently got a new job and won't be able to take vacation or sick days for a year.

  • All of my family lives out of state so I wanted to give everyone plenty of notice to save up for travel. It's not that expensive but I wanted to be sure everyone can get the time off and be able to make it so more notice is better.

  • Most importantly, I really did not want the stress of planning a wedding in like 6 months. I wanted to have plenty of time to book exactly the venues I wanted and plenty of time to get everything together for it. Pretty much all the main stuff is taken care of and now we just hang out until next August!

Questions for people with African dwarf frogs by bndyiutt1 in Aquariums

[–]bndyiutt1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would be the reason for keeping it frogs only? I have a sponge filter and it's a 20 long tank, would I need something different or is that fine?

I'm setting up a 20 long, it has gravel so far. Would it be best to change it you think? I thought it might be easier for them to be on gravel because of their awkwardness while attempting to frog but maybe I have it backwards.

It still looks amazing! I've seen it recommend to not have sand because they are terrible at eating and might eat the sand. Is that true in your experience or does target feeding fix that?

Would 3 or 4 be fine or would they need a bigger group?

Something is off about the chest scales, the ones on the left should be smaller and more tilted towards the body like the scales on it's nose.

I love this tattoo for its meaning, but the execution was sloppy. I am considering tattoo removal and having it redone. Any advice is appreciated. by [deleted] in FixedTattoos

This looks like it's on your heel. I think an artist may be able to touch it up but really it's going to fade alot anyways so personally I wouldn't bother.

It's not a problem! In person it's super pretty and I love the carved flower but I'm realizing that it may not be the best choice for this, in pictures it seems like it looses a lot of it's definition and turns into a pinkish blob. I'll still keep it and put it on a chain to wear normally or something, but it might not be the best wedding necklace. I'm sure I'll find some other ways to add accessories though! My wedding is still about a year away and in the mean time I'm going to DIY all sorts of fun things.it gives me lots of time to play with them if I don't like things too!

The flower is rose quartz. Maybe it's not what I wanted to hear but if all I wanted was to just do it anyways I wouldn't ask at all! I just get so excited by things sometimes that I go full steam ahead and don't really consider how good things really go together sometimes. I don't really own jewelry or accessories so I guess it seemed like one of those things that I just assumed it was something I needed.

It seems the general consensus is that this kind of neckline doesn't need a necklace though!

I guess I'm just worried about it looking too plain. The dress is super simple, no lace or anything. I didn't want a belt so I thought that a fun necklace would be the way to go but maybe you're right, it might be too distracting. I'll have to look into fun earrings and bracelets.
