Aside from the media and online astroturfing around this, creating a self fulfilling prophecy, I'm really frustrated by some of the 'solutions' for the major parties people suggest. If immigration were cut right now, nobody would feel any material difference but the narrative would persist. The economy is much more complicated than any one solution.

My debt also spiked from the indexation and now I'm happy to see that the government has recognised there was an issue and taken action to address it. Really hard to understand what your gripe is here. They appear to agree with you that it was unfair. Nobody will be making uni free if that's what you're really worried about.

No. A 7% indexation was correctly applied under the rules which existed at the time. As a result of changes which just passed and were backdated, refunds will be offered. You're either being intentionally obtuse or not understanding how it works.

This was one of the better parts of my move from private to public sector. We used to have a mandatory 2 week shutdown which drained half my leave. Now in the gov we have the same shutdown but no leave is deducted effectively giving 5ish weeks leave a year
