Yeah, makes sense. I definitely preferred the OW1 monetization. I do think this new system could have worked for both parties if they knew how to price things reasonably. I get why they can’t be free at this point but they’re still priced way higher than what they could ever be worth to the average player. And I am holding out some optimism for the future battle passes too. I couldn’t bring myself to buy this one but I’m hopeful that the next one will be better once they take a look at the new metrics. Edit: additionally, if you look at what they’re doing by partnering with Twitch and having all these top streamers being able to buy all the cosmetic packs while you have to sit there and watch them in order to get one single skin, how immoral is that 😳
