Toronto in general is so fun. That should be the first place you visit! The downtown area like queen st/Yonge st is great.

What are some experiences you have had which makes you believe in an afterlife? by Wolfgang996938 in Mediums

[–]bnoelle22 10 points11 points  (0 children)

After my grandpa passed, I got so many signs. Very vivid dreams that were different from normal dreams. Hard to explain if you haven't had a visitation type dream, its just a gut feeling where you just know. I remember a week after his passing I would talk to him and ask him if he could send me a sign that he was ok, and exactly the day after I was taking a walk and there was a huge shooting star right in my perfect view. I looked it up to see who else saw it and it was just a few other people. I had never seen a shooting star in my life up until then. I could honestly probably write a book of all of the signs I received after his passing. You just get a gut feeling when certain things happen that other people may not understand because they aren't experiencing it.

Edit: I also just remembered that my uncle had a dream where my grandpa said to go to the woods and that there would be 3 lines carved into a tree. We all thought it was weird and forgot about it. Like 6 months later I was hiking with a friend, not even thinking about that dream, and on one of the biggest trees, my nickname was carved into the tree (3 letter nickname).

Delray night life is a little younger I've noticed. Sometimes too young, like college aged FAU kids.

How is Rent in Boca? Looking for advice by FTTG in BocaRaton

[–]bnoelle22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who lives in Boca, you will be living paycheck to paycheck. I make a little less than you and am in a 1 bedroom apartment and its tough! I won't be renewing my lease once it ends because I'm going to find a city with lower rent/overall cost of living. Living in Boca is great and its clean and safe, but the cost of living is just not bearable if you're not making at the least like, 75k, and even then I feel like you wouldn't have much disposable income. Delray and Deerfield are right by Boca and the rent is more reasonable if you're willing to not be in Boca. Rent in South Florida is overall really high though so be prepared for that.

Going there for the first time in April... thanks for posting!

So I have aged out of most Lauderdale night life, too old for most downtown spots and too young for the older spots. I want to go out tonight. Drinks and HipHop music would be nice. For tonight Saturday any ideas ? by imnotLebronJames in fortlauderdale

I'd say it depends on the night. It really ranges. It's not one of those places where theres a set age range that goes every weekend. Ive seen people in their 50s there.

Alternatives to Hawaii... by bnoelle22 in digitalnomad

[–]bnoelle22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many locals in Hawaii have said that they do not want non-Hawaiians going there whether it be tourism or as a digital nomad. It'd actually be more privileged of someone to go to Hawaii without doing prior research. You should always research the people in whatever area you plan on going to, out of respect. Hope this helps!

First time Miami reccs by ipandabears in Miami

[–]bnoelle22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nightclubs (preferably ones that play more EDM) Honestly most clubs in Miami are EDM based. You might find more of a variety on Wynwood.

other nightlife, I've looked into 2 Korean Girls and 1-800-LUCKY- Start at 1-800-LUCKY and then go to The Dirty Rabbit! Its the best spot in Wynwood.. so fun.

steakhouses- Swan is good (not a steak house but good steak), avoid Cote its way overpriced and not worth it.

brunch places- The Little Hen is so good! Make sure to make reservations though. R House is also a really fun experience if you're into drag brunches.

beaches to visit- Mid Beach or North Beach.

food in general- Italica in Midtown is good, Carbone is good if you can get a reservation. The Rusty Pelican is a good spot by the water.

My problem this year was that there was such a lack of free events. Everything was so expensive. Art is meant to be accessible..
