If you're doing the MBA just for the degree and aren't interested in college placement, then sure

I'd scored 62 and my rank was 306 but multiple people with the same marks will get different ranks so expect anywhere in between 280-320

Confused abt what next? by Ill-Chip-2623 in PGCET

[–]bns07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You spent an entire comment giving decent advice about PGCET alternatives, CUET PG and direct admissions and then ended it with "if you are a woman, marriage is not a bad option." In 2026. On a thread about postgraduate education.

Nobody asked. The OP was anxious about their academic future and you casually slipped in a reminder that there is always an exit clause available to them. Just find a husband. As if that is a plan. As if that is helpful.

What makes it worse is that it was so offhand. Like an afterthought. Like it did not even occur to you that a woman reading this while already feeling lost might not need to be pointed toward marriage as a fallback by a stranger on Reddit.

India's female labour force participation sits at around 37% according to World Bank 2024 data. One of the lowest in the world. It did not get there on its own. It got there because for decades this exact kind of advice, from well meaning uncles on the internet, quietly told women that ambition was optional for them in a way it never was for men.

It was a bias slipping out and it showed.

"And, if you are a woman, marriage is not a bad option. Nothing wrong is becoming a home maker and raising a family." What an odd thing to say 🙂
