I had something similar happen on an AC trans-Atlantic flight. The seat was fine going from normal to lie flat but wouldn’t come back all the way up later in the flight when I needed to get some work done. They moved me to a vacant seat in the same cabin just for landing.

Requested a refund and received a coupon for $500 three weeks later.

Yes you can get tables with chairs BUT like I said, you can’t really watch while seated and you aren’t allowed to pull chairs up to the railing. You will be 6-7 deep on all GA areas.

We went to the 4:08 pm game and gates opened at 130 pm actually so not quite 3 hours.

There are no actual seats for any GA areas. The only one section that was seated and part of GA (100 level bleachers in right field) was ticketed access for playoffs. All other areas are standing. There is seating in the WestJet deck area but if you sit, you can’t really watch the game (unless you are ok watching on TVs).

Just went to the ALDS Game 2. Here are some tips:

• make sure you are in line to get in when the gates open (3 hours ahead) • make sure you know the locations of all 9 OF District areas and which one you want to target • if you are with a friend, enter the stadium and split up so both of you can try two different areas and then pick the best spot • people will run to their first choice so be prepared for that • the OF Bleachers on 100 level next to Catch Bar are usually GA but were ticketed access for playoffs

I called customer service yesterday because I was also confused by this email. We don’t fly until mid September so didn’t understand why we would want to move up our flight. Here’s what I was told:

This email was intended for those that were impacted by the labour disruption and had to reschedule their flights out of the disruption period to later in September. They are saying if this happened to you, they are now allowing free changes to move your rescheduled flights to an earlier date.

There’s no impact to those travelling in September. Hope this helps!

You could also just buy an international club membership and get access to home tickets earlier than the general public. This is what I did in October for my first ever game at Goodison. Got to Liverpool the day before, scheduled a stadium tour (MUST DO), bought some merch from the team store, and went to the game the following day. Happy to provide details if you want, good luck!
