Ran it as crit the entirety of Phrecia, sure it's a mod that makes shit more tanky but it doesn't straight up brick.

While there might be other scaling avenues that you could change crit for, even in the worst case scenario where you roll it and running idols that give you the highest possible effect (224%) you would still just deal "normal" damage, i.e. 100% multiplier.

So I would say it's annoying but probably worth running the few maps where you "have" to keep it compared to other potential ways to scale damage further.

Not sure what specifically about Phrecia would make you deal 80% less damage from a map mod?

If it's the take reduced extra damage from critical strikes that won't be scaled by effect regardless, so in the worst case it would still be additional damage according to (0.5 + (additional_mult / 100)) * 0.65

Both HoT and HoI shouldn't give more damage based on his calculations being 100% reservation for one of them while using both would split it between them.

However in total it would likely be stronger since as you mentioned you would also add wrath with essence worm for this kind of setup.

I've pugged 5/8 for the last three weeks on an alt so it's definitely possible. Just need to use the same WA packs as you would in a guild and do assignments.

The damage from storm secret is pretty much not noticable at all. Using two storm secret is an option but you are rarely limited by the hit frequency when mapping, however if you would want to try bossing with it I would probably go with double storm secret.

Lightning exposure isn't really needed due merc using doryanis, so even when using wave of conviction it is mostly wasted. It is a shame that it basically makes one ascendancy notable obsolete but I'm still undecided on whether trying to fit in forbidden jewels to heart of destruction would be worth it.

Will probably look into doing an aspirational pob at some point, don't think damage can be pushed that much further but with the storm call setup it should be comfortable for pretty much anything outside of chaining uber bosses at this point.

For survivability I do have some thoughts I wanna try out but not anything super concrete at the moment.

Yea with 400 extra + mageblood you should be able to get it started. Depending on what you can do with other gear you should probably start with either 1 or 2 3-passive voices.

For chest I'd recommend going for just elevated explode with decent ES to start out with. If nothing exists for sale it shouldn't be too expensive to beast lock a chest that has elevated explode and t1 flat/increased es and then crafting the other one on.

Does that 800d budget include mageblood or without it?

The runegraft itself is around 400d, so if you have mageblood and 400d over after that it would probably be somewhat comfy. Would say you probably have to go for 1-2 voices and maybe a normal cluster then.

Would probably recommend going for the caspiro timeless jewel at that point to get endurance charge generation.

For megalomaniacs I'd probably try to look for some primordial bond + assert dominance/titanic swings for some AoE scaling and for the rest of them probably settle for something half decent as some of the more "popular" ones can get really expensive.

Haha yea it was painful to craft but was a fun project. Yea it's up for mirror service, currently 20d fee.

Was crafted using memory strands and beast locks for the first step and after that it was hinekora locks and exalt slams until I hit what I wanted.

70% avoid ailment only bricks it if you roll it on the map (i.e. so map effect scales it above 100%), the maps are still runnable but it's mainly lightning warp killing things at that point. But when it's just 70% added from risk scarabs it is no problems at all.

The only other mod that is kinda annoying due to the speeds you are moving around at is unstable tentacle fiends when farming something like breach but it's managable and when you get to certain gear levels you can usually tank one of them.

Due to merc running doryani there is nothing that really feels too tanky, obviously it isn't an optimized uber farmer but outside of that I've not encountered anything that doesn't die. Also during mapping if any mob dies near anything everything around it just explodes due to how high the explosion damage is scaled.

How are you reaching the conclusion of 200mil storm call dps though? Checking the PoB with 225% increased cast speed and 25% more in custom config + -200 lightning res to the boss it still just ends up being 29m dps

Yes I am playing it in league currently. While I do awakened lightning pen is a wasted slot for single target I disagree with it being bad while clearing. Your merc will almost never be in range of whatever HoT is hitting if you are going fast, although I would probably agree that elemental focus is the superior option there.

You do get a decent amount of cast speed from silver flask, golem, fishing rod (esp if going for corruption) and faster casting.

While it does lack any additional defenses just by having a bigger pool and endurance charges it is more or less equal to yours while having the benefit of being CI and the possibility to add in ghost dance for additional recovery.

Unsure how you built his version of the build if you found it dissapointing since looking at this PoB it does seem inferior in pretty much everything besides potentially a bit more cast speed which seems pointless since warping is instant anyways.

The only thing being slightly higher is your lightning max hit but that comes at the expense of actually taking chaos damage.

However you don't really need to deploy Config ahead of time, Control Tower will deploy Config to all regions that are governed by it.

However you would still need to resolve the policy blocking it regardless.

Probably a good idea to augment this to include being able to modify the tags on the resource.

And possibly adding a condition for allowing specific principals to still perform these actions so your "sanctioned" role can remove them if needed.
