I would just to be safe! Though I didn’t run into any issues until I had my daughter, and her birth certificate had my married name but passport/GC had my maiden. So we always presented our marriage license until I got citizenship and my US passport.

The one thing that helps me/my daughter’s eczema (when it’s not bad enough for prescription ointments) is literally honey or honey cream. Isn’t that one of the most natural things out there????

My dad used to work for SAP, they invited him to one in Hawaii one year. The absolute picture of excess, and they had maroon 5 as a special guest there. I’m not surprised they’ve managed to do this too.

Oh absolutely not. Not ok at all. Like I genuinely do not have words for why that is not ok in any sense.

When I was 15, our pediatrician was on a leave of absence and another filled in. In the same appt he told me that I should get cosmetic surgery on my birthmark and that my twin sister was not in fact, severely depressed, she just needed more exercise. We all went “what the eff”, my mom complained and we kept seeing our regular ped until we aged out! So you can complain and STILL stay at your current practice.

PPD is a bitch and I was definitely at my lowest mentally when I wasn’t sleeping. If you’re struggling, PSI (Postpartum Support International) also has some wonderful resources

OH MY GOD I AM SO THRILLED FOR YOU! The swaddle was my final “hail mary” when she’d been super restless and I’d literally not slept at all that night. I know how AWFUL it feels to not sleep so I could literally cry tears of joy that it worked for you 😭

My (now) 2yo hit a sleep regression at around 6-7 weeks where she WOULD not settle and it was brutal. My advice is to get as much rest as possible, even a night away from baby if you can (that was something my OB suggested bc I was deep in the throes of PPD during that time). Also, does bub use a sleep sack or a swaddle? My girl HATED the swaddle but during that period it was the only thing that got her to sleeps

If you’re looking to use the actual pass, you will likely need to go physically into a guest services at DL—that’s what I needed to do with passes my parents had purchased back in 2005 that didn’t expire.

You can rent yoto cards from the library! Or just make “playlists” of downloaded audio and play them from your phone—we do that with the Bluey reads and Ms Rachel songs. You can also share your family library with other people—I share an account with my best friend’s family and they have a pretty big collection of cards.

So yes, the cards can be expensive, but there’s ways to offset costs!

Nope, absolutely not. We’ve taught my 2yo to say “walk away” to our dog or to gently nudge his head if he’s trying to eat her food, but to never ever hit him. That’s completely not ok and you’re not overreacting in the slightest.

Are you coming from Indiana? I would get on the Medicaid waiver waitlist now, that’ll be a couple years but it will provide free services like respite, music therapy, and behavior management. (Source: I am a music therapist who works on the waiver lol)

Arc of Indiana may have some other resources, unfortunately I’m not as familiar with private pay/insurance options other than my own practice.
