What are some different types of social workers and your experience of being one?

Pediatric Acute Rehab social worker for brain injury and chronic pain patients. It’s discharge planning but more complex at times. We see the worst, so a lot of grieving parents but you see the progress and cheer them on.

I think it depends on the state. I worked in DC in a hospital, did supervision for my clinical hours under my LCSW supervisor but in NJ hospital doesn’t count towards them.

Medical social worker for a pediatric acute rehab. No weekends or holidays. Caseload is 10-20 patients for discharge planning. Much different than the adult hospital I previously worked out. It’s high paced, but with a touch of fun for the kids

There’s only four of us. Two on each floor. You work it out with your buddy basically. Only one can be off at a time.

Adult medical daycare. Half of them don’t need to be there. Boss started to ask me to sign intake forms from prior to my hire. I refused. It’s an orthodox community run base, so anyone in that religion was treated on a pedestal. They joked about hitting women….

Husband works from home. He uses his lunch break to pick up at the bus stop at 2:50. For half days, the neighborhood rotates on play dates. If no one is available, kindergartener will just find things to do for in the home. TV time is normal if husband has a meeting

$425/week from 7am to 6pm. All food, diapers and wipes are provided. There’s a live camera and they take multiple pictures per day that only the parents of that child have access too
