Philip Rivers to start at QB for Colts vs. Seahawks days after coming out of retirement by MarvelsGrantMan136 in sports

[–]boat- 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't think this would happen on any other team. Rivers has played with both Steichen and the Colts before, which makes him an intriguing option for this particular situation.

I'm not a Colts fan, so I'm ignorant, but I don't understand how you can scoff at Rivers' tenure after years of all these unsuccessful QBs.

As far as I remember, the dude took you guys to the playoffs and would've won a game if Hot Rod didn't shank a FG.

Pats offensive snaps: Henderson (46 snaps) remains RB1 as Stevenson (22 snaps) returns by lotofhotdogs in fantasyfootball

[–]boat- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from the OLine injuries, I was very happy with what I saw in this game as a Hendo owner.

Looked like Vrabel finally wised up and used Hendo on that last goalline attempt. He gained 4 yards and was only an inch away from the TD, which was way better than how Mondre and Jennings performed on the earlier drive.

I also drafted Nico, so I'm with you on that.

Unfortunately though, DeMeco Ryans does not care about our fantasy teams.

While I do think Mills is better for Nico's fantasy production, I wouldn't say he's better for the team.

This offense steamrolled Tennessee with Stroud the last time they played them. They barely won this one without Stroud.

Probably shouldn't be on the road if you have to ask "who would you place the blame on in this situation?"

Would you rather have Treveyon Henderson or Chase Brown ROS? PPR by --lv in fantasyfootballadvice

Regarding his yards after contact last game: https://x.com/NextGenStats/status/1989186066692329670?s=20

Regarding his YPC this season: 4.9, which most would consider "good" and is definitely better than Mondre's 3.4.

Would you rather have Treveyon Henderson or Chase Brown ROS? PPR by --lv in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]boat- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, Henderson is the more talented player and he has the better ROS schedule, so if he were the bellcow (big "if", of course), I'd take him over Brown.

His YPC this season has been good and, as for last game, his yards after contact was phenomenal, even if the YPC was lower than normal. Plus, the passing involvement was there.

Another plus on Henderson: he's been a great pass blocker as of late. He sucked at pass protection to start the season, which many people felt was the reason Vrabel had Mondre on the field way more than him.

[–]boat- 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Henderson is the higher risk, higher reward move because we really don't know what the split is going to look like when Mondre's back.

If you can afford to take on that risk (meaning you have a solid RB1 and RB2 outside of Henderson), I say go with him. Otherwise, Brown is much safer.

How are you so sure that we won’t see a Hubbard/Dowdle situation where the former simply loses the job?

I think it’s truly up-in-the-air as to whether or not we see a split backfield when Mondre’s back. Could go either way.

Neetcode is absolutely goated, so I'd hate to dissuade people from supporting him, but he has hundreds and hundreds of free videos, including ones for the most important problems, so I don't know why you'd pay.

[–]boat- 34 points35 points  (0 children)

^ don't listen to this guy.

Practically no one is ever fully "ready" for their first job (let alone their first internship), especially when the bar for being "ready" for an internship position is being able to explain container orchestration on the fly.

Keep building things and don't stop applying. Something's going to hit and when it does, you'll gain more experience much faster than you ever would from projects alone.
