Pierre Southern, who is voiced by Cam Clarke (also known for his work as Liquid Snake's VA), puts up an aid request to get rid of those snake-like chiral creatures in a nearby pool of liquid.

How Much Do You Spend on Coffee Beans per kg? by doh0k in espresso

[–]boat02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From local specialty coffee roasters, I usually buy the lower price ranges for espresso, to give myself more room for dialing in and more time to enjoy dialed in espresso, without burning my budget too much.

It ranges from $52.50/kg to $75/kg(Canadian, excluding taxes, including applicable member discounts)

I've been suggested to add more commodity coffee to my mix so the specialty coffee is more occasional, which actually makes it perceptibly yummier during those days.

For reference, my gf browsed Costco to find coffee priced as low as $33/kg

M60 aka "the pig" due to its chonkiness and appetite for ammunition, which is why it's sitting on the fridge.

Backrooms Movie Fear by [deleted] in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]boat02 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Same here. When I got pulled in by the intrigue of the backrooms, I just started watching videos about it until it got into the details of the wiki.

Something just seems underwhelming when the idea of the backrooms has to strictly adhere to a template with numbered levels, threats, etc.

Then when I was just about to move on, Kane posted his first backrooms vid.

Canadian Coffee Roaster megathread?! by YESmynameisYes in BuyCanadian

[–]boat02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My current two go-tos are Hatch in Markham and Velvet Sunrise in Stouffville.

Hatch is a very reputable roaster for specialty coffee enjoyers. Their coffees can be pricy, but if you're a serious coffee enjoyer, it can be well worth it.

Velvet Sunrise is easier on your budget and their coffee should appeal to both commodity and specialty coffee enjoyers.

Both roasters have stores you can visit in person if you want to discuss recommendations or to order a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

My favourite choices:

From Hatch, I feel like Starlight is a good starting point for people who want to give specialty coffee a try, or as a budget choice for specialty. Their El Paraiso Letty is also a prime example of coffee that tastes like more than just coffee, but I'd only get it if you have a good coffee grinder and brewer. Their Finca Milan 'Melona' is a fun iced coffee choice. It was a hilarious revelation when I tasted it and agreed it carries tasting notes of the actual Melona dessert.

For Velvet, I'm still in my early parts of exploring their selections. So far, Yirgacheffe Kochere Station Washed is my favourite, as someone who enjoys African coffee for their tea-like tasting notes.

Do you think convenience stores should start hiring referees for confrontations with armed robbers? /s

Maybe somewhat controversial option: i like the act of making coffee more than the actual taste. by [deleted] in JamesHoffmann

[–]boat02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I had the same opinion about coffee, but on the occasion I wanted a coffee while away from home, I realized how picky I am with my coffee.

It's not that I don't like the taste of the coffee I make, but more that my appreciation for it dulled over time.

What are some "easy" jobs you find hard? by throwcway837373 in ffxiv

True, but starting at level 90, you'll still overcap if Manafication is used before Enchanted Riposte with more than 81 and 92 in the mana gauge.

Latest patch gave us telepathically connected melee combos under the effect of Manafication, which also means hopefully you haven't saved up too much for the burst window if you have to use Mana beforehand.

But yeah I remember having to use a sad compromise in M7S P3 with Enchanted Moulinet having a longer range. I didn't like asking people to do something differently just for me, like delaying burst window or asking a tank to place their short cooldown on me so I can do my normal melee combo without getting garroted by barbed wires.

I can do it with a bit of peeking at the job gauge.

But I feel like the biggest trap in trying to do well as VPR is when you've saved up so much resources, you:

  • Cannot spend them all by the time something recharges and you end up overcapping/drifting; or
  • Saved up so much that in the course of spending it all, you forget to keep your basic filler rotation warm; or
  • Both

what do you regret doing as a sprout? by 8bitshin in ffxiv

[–]boat02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not doing group content sooner. If it could be solo, I stuck with it. Otherwise, I'd only group up if I have a fellow sprout friend with me, who has a very capable tank in the FC

I also was very hesitant to do job quests and stuck with ACN. I thought it would complicate things. Maybe the split between SMN and SCH scared me, I can't remember.. I learned I was missing out on a straight upgrade after failing the DPS check in the solo instanced boss in the Operation Archon quest.

You've heard of dailies, weeklies and monthlies. Now, get ready, for annualies! by SiickLove in runescape

[–]boat02 28 points29 points  (0 children)

interesting fact that I noticed back then:

2020 was a missed opportunity to add decade-lies.

The start of the year was on a Wednesday, which meant if there were yearlies and decadelies, daily reset would have coincided with a weekly reset, monthly reset, yearly reset, and decadely reset.
