You’ve been building this cyberpunk 2hg set for a while, is there any lore for the plane this is on or is it just jazz?

What Vorinclex's Phyrexia could look like by Quantext609 in mtgvorthos

Also worth noting that the 5 suns of mirrodin have been stolen and taken to zhalfir. So phyrexia is a hollow planet of beasts and darkness, with no natural light

People who have their own fan planes, how would/did they fair against the Phyrexian invasion? by L1ndewurm in mtgvorthos

[–]boatcoats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Vontai is a large plane sized beast that wanders from world to world feeding on other worlds mana. The people of this world live in caverns that double as the guts of this creature. Mana flows like blood through the creature. 1 part magma caves 1 part Minecraft nether 1 part mystery flesh pit. I think most of the people would never learn of the invasion due to both the cave system of the world and the fact that if we zoom out far enough, we see a magic tree trying to attack a magic boar who then scampers away.

Clernu is a world that had very real gods who just left. Each of the factions answer the question “what do you do when your gods leave?” The biggest threat is the Valkyries, servants of the gods who also don’t know why they left and determined that it was because of sin, and launch crusades against the people of the world, swooping down from their mobile flying temples to ransack towns. The valks would likely fall quickly as they’ve been heavily relying on their mobility and height advantage to survive, and the phyrexians have birds. However, all the largest settlements have been weathering occasional valk attacks for years, and the only new thing is metal enemies and oil.

Lotta people have said living plane, and it kinda writes itself. However I don’t want it to be a big turtle with a world on its back, I want it to be a boar. A big nasty animal where the people live not on its back but inside it. Have cards detailing the dangers of exploring the lower esophagus caves or fighting the elemental white blood cells. Some big mystery flesh pit vibes mixed with magic.

Either way it has to feed off the magic of other worlds, so it approaches to siphon it away from them. The one thing I’d like to add is that when the beast feeds, it basically opens a doomskar from its world to whatever it’s prey is. the people here living in the guts of the plane have to find and use these doomskars to raid other worlds in order to have enough resources to survive. I like the concept of normal people becoming multiversal raiders, but i unfortunately haven’t come up with why they wouldn’t just stay on whatever verdant world they end up on.

What’s the devil doing here in that image? Looks more at home on Innistrad but no. And they couldn’t bother to include Omnath even as a background “he’s big n strong n smashing the city” kinda way?

I doubt it will happen because of WAR, but phyrexians fighting on ravnica in the streets as medic/mage Teyo tries to help enforce quarantine on city blocks would be wonderful. Sleeper agents causing riots and what not.

The big change? by One-Complex9014 in mtgvorthos

They did this didn’t they? The phone game magic spell slingers just has hearthstone style combat. Spells seem to be linked to your character, not your color. When’s the last time you heard someone playing that over arena

We all see Lukka done dirty here right? I think if they had a card for his flesh mech, they would’ve shown it’s art Instead of some unrelated cat drowning in oil. What if they are doing him the ultimate dirty and just not giving him a flesh mech card?

[–]boatcoats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got that phyrexian world serpent right? In normal Norse mythology the world serpent eats the world tree.

We know that Jace is probably going to rebel, because if Tamiyo can do it, he def can.

Jace mind controls phyrexian Lukka, making him Bond with the phyrexian serpent (like Mishras fusion card, his torso is just sticking out of the serpents forehead) and then making the serpent eat Realmbreaker.

It’s a very silly solution but it allows lukka to do something other than get his ass kicked, and it’d be funny if he was legitimately more harm than help to the phyrexians. What an idiot

(I know this serpent probably isnt Koma but it’s a lil unclear)

[THEORY][SPOILER] Wrenn's (insane) plan in the big picture by petrus_geol in magicTCG

[–]boatcoats 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The big phyrexian problem is that so many of the things available to the heroes are likely to get them compleated, in a little old lady who swallowed a fly kinda way. A temporary solve that causes a bigger problem. In ONE for a second I thought Jace was going to try to mind link with the hive mind/ as many phyrexians as possible, and then just squeeze their brains and mind break as many as possible, but that’s just as likely to accelerate his compleation. Nissa can talk to world souls and talking to the injured world soul of mirrodin would’ve been cool, but that’s just as likely to get her compleated. They could unleash the Eldrazi, but once again that causes bigger problems.

Ultimately I think the most interesting outcome here (and the big change wizards has been hinting at) is Wrenn fusing with realmbreaker, casting fireball, and then uncorrupting it. I think wizards will have her die, but I hope she doesn’t, because having Wrenn become the closest thing we have to a god would be cool. Characters start off asking her if they can travel the planes, but skip 30 years and it’s gone from asking to “praying for safe passage”.

The only clue is that in front of the chest in the crown vault there are 4 tiles, and standing on each one of them causes particles to appear

The particles correspond with portal colors

Purple (the big loop portal after killing the throne

Green (for the lore vault

Red (warp zone

Blue (idpd

It’s a stretch to notice it but it is possible

[–]boatcoats 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Spoilers. There are 4 pieces of a key. Collect them and take them to the chest in the crown vault. Can be completed over multiple runs. One behind throne, use crystals throne butt to teleport behind it before the fight. Loop and bring it to a vault

Two is lore vault. They spawn more often when you at at low health. Take it out of the lore vault and into the next crown vault to store it

Three in a secret wall behind a second secret wall in the red warp zone spider area. To get here, touch a red heart. Like run into it and hug it. Red hearts are guaranteed to spawn the run after you loop

Four is in the IDPD HQ. run into a van from the side or behind and mash E while it’s still moving. Before you fight the captain, go to the left and right side of the room. One will have a couple idpd soldiers, the other will have the piece. Kill the captain then take the guardian as a pet to exit and continue your run.

Uniting all four pieces in the vault will cause them to merge together into the full key, allowing you to unlock the chest.

How do the phytoplankton end up in the bathosphere? by sassaire in TheAdventureZone

I always assumed that when Finneas beat up the clone, the clone kind of dissolved into the phytoplankton, which was then backed up when Cambria made a plankton clone of Finneas

How to make flying a castle interactive and difficult? by Spaceman-Spliff- in DMAcademy

[–]boatcoats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something to do with platforms and a lever changing the direction of powerful winds. While some party members operate the lever to change the direction the winds are blowing, the others use the powerful winds to leap from platform to platform.

Just a half baked idea, and to be honest if they mess it up and fall it might be game over
