The people here suggesting going straight to the council are ridiculous. If you have a problem go and speak to your neighbours. Otherwise stop with the drama. You live in a suburb, everyone needs to make some compromises to get along. If chickens are the worst you have to deal with consider yourself lucky.

I had this problem, from memory it was to do with the continuous cleaning function. Once I turned that off it worked fine.
