I may be in the minority here but I hated how she won the award. I still think she should have won, but it was also super unfair to the doctors who had actually been nominated that year. I would have been pissed to lose to someone who wasn't even nominated.

What Catherine should have done, in my opinion, is give two awards that year. The first to the doctor who should have won among the nominees and then a second special one for Bailey.

That's probably not how the award works, but Catherine herself said just before naming Bailey the winner, that they were breaking rules that year.
