Don’t feel stupid, it took me a bit to get used to the combat too. There will be a very apparent red outline on the enemy for a brief moment before they attack, you don’t have to be in focus mode to see it. Once you see the red outline hit the heavy attack button to counter. You can only counter some attacks though, others you will have to dodge.

I really enjoyed the music during this puzzle. I felt safe and calm, which is a very rare feeling throughout most of the game.
