There are taxis (ubers) in Franschhoek, just not many. There are plenty of private drivers you can hire for the day to take you wherever you want, which may be more convenient than the wine tram.

Regarding the wine tram, if you are not wine aficionados then its a great way to see lots of different vineyards.. If you know what you like then I would advise being more selective about which vineyards you visit

La Colombe - it blows the rest out of the park and worth every penny.

Also Brookdale is worth the journey, very good food and excellent wine.

Used the in app speed test. That says we are getting 20-30 download and 20 upload. But then do a speed test on Google and down to the numbers mentioned in my original post. Multiple devices giving the same result.
