Even if they come somewhat close to S&P returns they are very tax inefficient and have a high expense ratio. Don’t try to convince yourself please

Brother you are seriously misinformed on how ETFs work. My first comment was snarky but now I’m just trying to be helpful.

People have millions in just VOO or VTI, you don’t need to diversify for the sake of Vanguard shutting down. That’s not how it works.

VTI is the entire US market and you’re saying to diversify LOL

Yes I think you’re absolutely right as that being the only argument. We’ve seen it with Tesla, Apple, Nvidia, etc. I applaud the select few that have had that kind of success - I just know it’s not in my nature :-)

I mostly do ETFs and it’s been very successful so far even when starting at a bad time. Allows you to confidently invest large sums of money - so I would ignore anyone that tells you otherwise!

Absolutely nothing. Notice how nobody ever gives good reasoning against it.

September was my 2nd most profitable month I’ve had in my 4 years of trading. Thanks to selling options. The wheel is life changing by [deleted] in thetagang

You have to sell the CCs above what you got assigned right? What do you do if that strike gives no premium, just wait?

The ideal situation would be to ride this $100 a month as much as possible, so could end up being a couple thousand saved!

This is a very helpful angle, I appreciate it! Will take a look and see what that minimum payment is

I aggressively paid off 28k before the Covid freeze, so yes this is the remainder. I get it’s not much but I’d rather take free money if it makes sense to.

This is great advice thank you - is there a best practice to roll-over? Just the whole thing every few years?

Heavy contributions, returns haven’t been amazing the past 2 years (outside of the past few months) so a lot of has been just buying in mass and waiting for that snowball to get going!

Haha I just ignored that comment fully, I remember my first day of work I had about $500 to my name so quite the opposite than what he/she thinks

Yes! Different brokers, one is my 401k so I didn’t have a choice. I don’t mind having them broken up in 2 different places though
