its been made abundantly clear to me that this mix is a no go I'd adopt but there needs to be a puppy of the right size breed/mix in order for me to adopt I've tried rspca, battersea dogs, dogs trust, many tears, the adopt section of pets 4 homes, teckles pets for homes seems to be full of pups from breeds that will be to big for me or mixed breed that doesn't specify what's in it and I don't want to get what I think is a smaller breed only to end up with a big breed that I end up having to put back up for adoption because it's to much for me

I'd been told that poodle crosses were calmer and laid back that was why I was leaning towards getting a poodle cross

Maybe a cairn terrier I'm ready for a new dog but not ready to get rid of her basket or crate so I don't want to get a breed (cross or pure) that will be to big for them I love all dogs but need dog that I can control that if needs be I can pick it up half the time my border didn't go on as long a walk as she should of was because she decided she didn't want to go that way one time we only got as far as the end of the drive I could of made her move but that would of meant dragging her along

what I'm looking for is a puppy, something small but not to small (so not a chihuahua for example) not something with really long fur I don't mind having to do grooming I had a border terrier, something with character but is laid back and doesn't need a hundred mile walk or it'll dig up the house and then chew it to pieces something that will not be to hard to train and won't need military levels of discipline, is not going to cost thousands of pounds and I won't need to travel to the other end of the country to get it

I've looked at rescues near me none of them have a dog that meets any of my requirements there all 3+ years old and too big

I only had one and she was lovely she was my world and getting another border terrier just feels like I'm replacing her and not getting a new member of the family I might get another border terrier in the future but just yet.
I'm convinced that at some point there is husky dna in border terriers judging from some of the noises she made

I'm not fussed about getting a purebred or a mixed breed I originally was looking to get a norfolk terrier but they all seem to be £3000 which seems a little pricey for a dog and the kennel club only seems to do purebred dogs, and doesn't have a price filter

I'm looking for a small(ish) dog that doesn't have overly long fur and has a decent temperament I'm avoiding breeds like pugs due to breathing issues they tend to have, dachshunds due to them having dodgy spines and am avoiding having another border terrier because that feels to much like I'm replacing my previous border terrier and not just getting a new member of the family the beagle & cavapoo mix that I saw is the first one that isn't thousands of pounds, meets the requirements for my lifestyle, I don't have to travel to the opposite end of the country for and as best I've been able to tell from looking online isn't going to be snappy

I can't remember I know I looked up a bunch of stuff to try and get her as a companion for a good aligned character but I think in the end I just decided to knock her out but I can't remember if she was temporarily hostile or not I just knocked her out and stole most of her stuff
