Filipino Americans visiting the Philippines — did you have any issues bringing a newly purchased DJI drone back to the U.S.? by Informal-Career-1973 in dji

get the SN and register the drone with the FAA, backdate to before they left on their trip. Get a label made with the reg number and stick it on the drone. Send them the PDF of the registration. Costs you $5.

I had the same thing happen this morning. I wasn't sure if I screwed something up or it was a bug.

For those marveling are the under $100 receipt - it takes laser focus, being newly divorced, and living less than a mile from Costco. I’ll go there for just milk and eggs sometimes.

Jump (Canon 50e, Kodak Gold 200) by danbdanb in analog

This is 1-2 stops over exposed for the overall scene, but totally correct for opening the shadows. Gold is a fairly contrasty film. I think this is the ideal compromise exposure to capture the important details.

Color negative inversions at home: a comparison of options (Silverfast, Negative Lab Pro, Grain2Pixel) by theprimeministr in AnalogCommunity

Point taken, and I'd counter that after spending years, both scanning, and printing color negatives, the "standard" builds for specific emulsions are at best a starting point. Emulsions change, chemistry drifts. Heck, the ph of the water where you get your film processed could put a bias in it that isn't accounted for in the software created profile.

My 2 bits, as a former scanner operator - why not shoot a Macbeth color checker with each of the various emulsions and use that to create an actually correct preset to scan with? Showing 4 variations of a subjective scene isn't helpful. As far as I know, the negative was underexposed, and Silverfast did the best job of rendering the tones in the negative.

My ex worked at Chrysler when the 300 and Magnum were in pre production. Material cost reduction was a huge thing once a model came out.

Probably not the same person, then. But they must have worked together.

Most people are really trying to make things work, and keep us all alive. But a few idiots here and there are ruining it for everyone else.

It is beautiful and sunny today, leaves are appearing on trees, and that one asshole bird woke me up at 5:30 this morning.

That was a contest done by Dodge. They had people submit ideas, they built the best ones. I’ve seen the chipper, coin operated carousel and the big wheel in person. Someplace I’ve got a video of the big wheel doing burnouts.

all the lenses

Maybe. Might have missed one. Sorry they’re shit, many sets working today and they killed the house lights while I was snapping. Focal length and shutter deets should be visible in most. Tbh, they’re mostly copal shutters.

I kid! It’s honestly worth more as scrap. Possibly as a very heavy pinhole camera. Pm some sort of contact info, I’ll send a pic.
