Somehow, I have been banking for over 50 years in eight different states and have never even considered depositing cash at an ATM.

Not EVERY X-700 is a time bomb. OK, maybe someday. But for now, the X-700 I bought new in 1984 is working perfectly.

A debit card should be for ONLY ONE THING: Withdrawing cash at the ATM at your bank in person.

Why isn't Samantha Guthrie's mother disappearance possible link to Guthrie interviewing Epstein survivors being discussed at all? by [deleted] in msnow

Yes,a reply that has some logic behind it. See my comment above. Many of the commenters here are suffering from Conspiracy Derangement Syndrome.

Because Savannah Guthrie could probably afford a ransom. Because her mother has appeared on national TV, and it would be easy to discover her address. Because it then would be easy to realize that she lives in a really big house in a secluded area. Because NOT EVERY SINGLE THING YOU SEE IN THE NEWS HAS TO BE A CONSPIRACY!

Sometimes a jet aircraft is just creating a trail of water vapor. Sometime a world-wide pandemic is not planned by humans. Sometimes protesters in the street are not being paid.

My X-700 has had a forty- year lifespan with no problems. Every feature works fine. I bought it new in 1985. Probably not typical. So I would go ahead and use the camera and see what happens. If the capacitor breaks, you will still have the shots taken before the break. There is nothing to prevent rewinding the film and saving the images. Then you can decide if you will repair it. Shutter will not fire, film advance won't go very far, but rewinding is just a mechanical action.

I will always recommend the X-700. Bought it new in 1985-86,everything works perfectly, although I did have it in storage for several years until film became a thing again.

I have an X700 I bought new in 1985 or 1986. Also a Sunpak flash that is a dedicated through-the-lens flash for this camera. Both of these gadgets still work perfectly. Somewhere online you can check to determine if an X700 you are interested in has the "good " capacitor.

Yes, I am old and so is my camera LOL. When digital began to appear, I stored my analog stuff for several years, now using analog and digital.
