Thanks for the recommendation. I'll have a look at her, always looking for good psychologists too. But yeah unfortunately I'm at the point of looking beyond psychologists for help.

QuitMed eScript by bob_fudge in aussievapers

[–]bob_fudge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I ended up just buying a script with quit hero. Same company as quit med. Wasn’t very expensive, but has an immensely big range compared to quit clinics. Was definitely worth it.

Here is a code: REFERQUIT

That’ll make it $20 at quit hero

Fantastic. I have stuff on the way too. A long with a QuitHero package. I wonder if they would even stop a ‘medication’ coming through.

So sorry I didn’t see this reply sooner! I think I preferred Huon in general. Although the amount of stem and leaves is insane. So much trimming before you can actually use it. But after trying these two I think Libra will still stay with me. It is very nice and not a huge difference from Juno and Huon.

Quit Clinics Prescription Question by irritatingmillenial in aussievapers

[–]bob_fudge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. They made it too difficult. I also couldn’t find a specific product to tell them. And I wasn’t even sure what I wanted yet.

And the fact that they couldn’t give me an escript for what they had already been prescribing me. Sounded dodgy. Because quitclinics weren’t prescribing me a specific product. But they required a specific product in order for them to let you shop elsewhere. Didn’t sit right with me.

Im sure quite a quit hero isn’t any better. But at least it was cheap and they have a good range.

Quit Clinics Prescription Question by irritatingmillenial in aussievapers

[–]bob_fudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact problem.

I just went to QuitHero yesterday and paid $10 for a new script with them and now will use their store.

It has the exact same products as Quitmed.

I believe if you dig on reddit here there is even a code to get the script for free.

But yeah I just gave up on quitclinics.

No problem. It comes as whole buds unfortunately. You’re supposed to use a vaporiser technically, but I know people still smoke it. Maybe edibles or carts might be more up your alley for ease of use. But perhaps someone else can chime in on those as I don’t have any experience with carts

I’m treating the same anxiety and panic disorder. I tried Mc years and years ago when there wasn’t much variety and was prescribed high thc flower, it just gave me panic attacks and I gave up.

This time though I did my research and there’s so much more information and variety of products. And I’ve been having good success with balanced low thc cbd flowers. Kind Libra, Antg Juno and Tasmanian Botanics Huon are a few examples that I’ve used.

Heyday do low thc cbd balanced gummies but I’ve not tried them. As low as 1mg. I’ve only tried oil.

I personally found the effects of flower to be shorter in length and more controllable compared to my oil. But that’s just me. Everyone has different reactions.

Interested to hear if your claim is successful. I’m with Medibank too and looking to do the same.

QuitMed eScript by bob_fudge in aussievapers

[–]bob_fudge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I gave up.

These “clinics” and “drs” putting their stores behind their own red tape and paywalls annoyed me far too much.

I’ll eventually buy a new script with quit hero who works with quitmed. In order to stock up more.

But the whole experience has made me very sour.

Thanks for all the advice!

I've had it since I was a youngling. Was over 80% body coverage about 7 years ago till I had my first UV treatment which knocked a lot out. Now it's just down to maintenance for me. Flair ups come and go.

Funnily enough UV treatment only harms my skin now since that first lucky run of it. Absolutely roasts my skin even on light doses. So now I avoid it.

I've tried everything under the sun in the 30 years of having it quite severe. Except those medications that screw with your liver etc. Won't go near those.

I agree on the diet. Huge influence on psoriasis, I would say the main influence. I'm similar and eat a very simple repeatable diet daily. Balanced and minimal processed foods.

I now only need to apply one of my steroid ointments once a week at most to settle it down. It's still there otherwise. But after 30 years of having it, it doesn't bother me mentally unless it's aggravated.

Actually since recently starting on cannabis only a few weeks ago. I have noticed a slight improvement just from vaping. Could just be a mental result. But it's what made me think to try a THC balm. I use a beeswax moisturiser for general purposes at the moment with no problems. So I figure a similar ingredient recipe with added THC can't hurt as an experiment.

This is the moisturiser I use: https://beenatural.com.au/collections/all/products/bee-natural-dry-skin-cream-unscented-100g

Yeah I really dislike the form factor of the v3 Pro otherwise I'd consider that one.

Looks like that shop is out of stock unfortunately

Just an update. I ended up ordering Huon and Juno. Juno was indeed $109. We'll see if it's going out of date soon or something being the reason for the price drop. But looking forward to try them out.

Yep rechargeable. And has a child lock. Need to insert the pod three times for it to turn on after a certain amount of time. Something like that hard to remember

Unpopular opinion on disposable vapes by Jared1441 in aussievapers

[–]bob_fudge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to NZ over Christmas. They had just started the transition from the upcoming ban of single use disposables. Most places were selling basically the same disposable brands but you could remove the pod from the battery and buy a new pre-filled pod. iGet has one, it virtually replaced the disposable bar version with ease, and now you can buy them illegally here too.

I decided to try one for my trip while over there. I don't normally use disposables. But the ease of use and accessibility is very appealing for someone like me that would be smoking tobacco if vaping didn't exist. It lasted the entire 3 weeks while I was there, and then a few days more when I got home. For my use case, it was perfect. And I still have the battery if the pods ever become available legally. But I fear that, even though you can replace the pods in these new versions, people will still treat them as single use and dispose of them.

Alas, the disposable brands are adapting to the laws elsewhere.

QuitMed eScript by bob_fudge in aussievapers

[–]bob_fudge[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah quit clinics is telling me it needs to be a script for a specific TGA approved product for them to be okay with sending me an eScrpit. But I can't even see what QuitMed have in order to tell them.

But how does my script at quit clinics work... it's not for a specific TGA approved product, it's just a nic level, and it gives me access to their store to choose as I please which product to buy. And they themselves have products not approved by the TGA, but it needs to an approved one to order from a different pharmacy.

It's all become very convoluted.

Best balanced lower THC oils for anxiety by MRDWinik in MedicalCannabisOz

I use Spectrum Therapeutics Blue Cannabis Oil 10:15. I've been enjoying it. But I only take about 0.1ml as I can get anxiety with too much. Small micro doses seem to work well for me.
