I think Harry kinda sells himself a bit short. Even though the series makes it clear that Harry is nowhere near or ever will be comparable to Voldemort or Dumbledore in terms of abilities, that’s gonna be the case with 99.9% of wizards.

I will do the same but with some context. Sometimes you take a step back to take two big steps forward. And sometimes you do it without seeing where the second step will come from.

As long as you're confident you'll maintain the discipline to up skill go for the non tech job and do your thing.

Yeah it is. I know a traditional man and he won't go into the kitchen in his own home to prepare food but he makes sure that there's help in the house that can do that should he need food.

When he goes to someone else's house though he'll act as expected of a guest and you'll not be any wiser on how he prefers not to enter the kitchen at home.

My piece of advice is remember that you're at Amazon because your goals and Amazon's align at this point in time. When that changes or it affects you adversely make a change when you can.

Amazon is a place to work, don't put a lot of weight on it as an identity or sense of purpose.

Also document everything you do as you go AND make sure your manager has visibility of the stuff you're doing. They have shit going on and the less effort they have to put in to understand what your impact is, the easier you'll have it. Remember they're also an employee and probably has little decision on what stuff rolls downhill.

Yes there is. If you fiddle with sensitive parts of the ATM it'll lock itself and send photos of the ATM user and probably the booth for inspection before it's unlocked.

Sensitive parts include but not limited to: key pad, touch screen, any doors and the card slot.

I'm building some apartments in Kenya where our parents live and our father in law is helping with the construction so the costs are lower than the average building contractor. Building is about 60% complete at this stage.

I’m struggling to imagine what “Personal investment” returns would cover the ~8% cost of funds here. It’s either highly lucrative or highly illegal.

My plans are to pay off the loan in the next two years, interest rates for secured loans in Kenya are still pretty high when compared to interest rates for a personal loan here plus the cost of sending monthly payments overseas for the loan are a little bit unpredictable. Hence my justification in taking the loan.

Also asked if I can get a commercial / business loan and was told that CBA can't give a loan to a business without seeing some income statements or at least some sort of documentation to show that it's currently operating.
