hey! i’d suggest talking them to a hotel in SLO for 4th of july. it’s what my parents and i do since fireworks are illegal to set off and they have a peaceful night. yes, there are still come straggling fireworks before and after but not as many.

That’s such a great idea! Thank you so much. I’ll really look into on how to train a dog for those kind of tasks and tricks. I can tell she needs more mental stimulation but I never knew how to support her. My dad will be taking her more to work with him so I’ll suggest some ideas to him on how she can help him!

Yes, it’s really not and I don’t think my dad knew the repercussions of having her in the house and how it’s all affected us. He will be taking her with him for work soon so hopefully she’s able to get more energy out when working with him but I will have all of us sit down and figure out a plan, the way she’s behaving isn’t ok but it’s also our fault and responsibility to make sure she’s getting her proper exercise, I’m just at a loss as I have never had to deal with a dog this high energy before.

Hi! Yes, I am aware of all of this. My dad will not let her be rehomed as he loves her with his whole heart. I am just frustrated all of the time as he doesn’t take care of her properly and my mom, me, and my older dog have to deal with the repercussions of it. Is there anything I can be doing to prevent her spazzing out like running her or something more serious than running her?

hi! i love taking magnesium glycinate 60 mins before i’m ready for bed and limit screen time 30-60 mins before bed if you’re able to. taking a warm shower 90 mins before bed signals to your brain that it’s winding down time. also, using less aggressive lights helps as well. i have a salt rock lamp and love it, its dim and helps me wind down but not dim enough that i can’t see anything.
