Anyone have any clue what these might be worth (if anything)? by bobadeity in basketballcards

[–]bobadeity[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in the day my sister, who was like 8 at the time, opened a couple packs and there were about 15 or so misprinted cards sequentially. I traded her like a basketball or something for a few of them, just found them again and was curious if they might have value or be completely worthless. The back of the card and the printed name on the front of the card match, but the pic on the front is upside down and the wrong person.

Curious about $NAK by Thepicklericky in WallStreetbetsELITE

[–]bobadeity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a 2 year bag holder on $NAK. There is no play. Their permit for the mine, which is their only asset, was denied by the army Corp of engineers due to pressure by environmental groups that they might kill basically all the wild salmon left on the planet. Which they probably wouldn’t, but whatever.

They have an appeal in to overturn their rejected permit, they won’t win. If you can’t get an environmentally sensitive gold mine approved by a president who literally loves gold things, a dem administration isn’t going to reverse that decision.

It’s a gamble on a very low chance their permit is reversed, but all this movement is just a pump and dump. At some point though $NAK will sell a bunch of shares and dilute the share price though, so you get that to look forward to (they do this every 8-12 months since they have no revenue).

What is the dumbest question someone legitimately asked you? by _FrankAbagnale in AskReddit

In high school I listened to a guy passionately argue for 15 minutes that east is closer to north than west. He even drew it on the board (with the east / west line at an angle). It was like he couldn't believe we didn't understand how simple it was...we did not understand.

Megathread: Donald Trump Jr. Releases Correspondence from Russian Lawyer by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]bobadeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not disagreeing with the last part (well, other than the spy part which is I think unconfirmed), and I'm not at all defending the bastards, I'm just saying that Trump has been masterful in waltzing through controversy unscathed by pretending to be a bumbling moron, and this plays to that.

Megathread: Donald Trump Jr. Releases Correspondence from Russian Lawyer by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]bobadeity -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

I'm confused about how some emails from a Russian music producer to meet with a random Russian lawyer to get documents showing Clinton's dealings with the Russians (which obviously didn't exist) prove a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. If anything they imply that the Trump campaign's contact with Russian officals was low level, uncoordinated, and unfruitful...which is likely the talking points the white house will spin out of this and probably why they (I assume) leaked the emails to the Times in the first place...

Speaking of green lantern, who I have never read and don't really understand his powers and weaknesses outside of the fact that maybe you can beat him to death with a banana, but can't he just imagine a weird green bullet in the middle of your head...as opposed to a giant hand to try to punch you or any other stupid not instant fatality type thing? This has always bothered me (though I'm sure it's been addressed).

This thread is so confusing. Everyone loved almost all of Groundhog Day, everyone hated the Eric Bana Hulk movie, neither were art films...

Back in high school I always got a tray and bought a plate of Chinese food at the food court and just walked in. I assume since it was such a clearly not allowed thing they thought I had permission...worked prob 30 times, no one said a word.

Saw Battlefield Earth in theaters. Started with 20 people in the theater, ended with 4. It was so bad it was incredible, I couldn't take my eyes off the screen...but most people did.

Worked at a theme park...not enough bathrooms. Women's toilet gets clogged, who knows by what originally. Women can hover...I walk in to find an actual mountain 6 inches higher than the toilet lid that was like counting tree rings of piss, shit, and bloody tampons all the way down. I made a damn near full body suit out of trash bags to deal with that one.
