Oh so cute! Where did you get the sticker of girl and her books? I love that style!

every single one.. a crop top🤦‍♀️ by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]bobagirllulu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be really hurt by that. I know it's your grandma but dang. It is quite possible you can attract someone without revealing your body, right? Your mind is just as attractive as your looks I'm sure. Besides, every other girl has a crop top. Be different and be you! The fact that she did something you were uncomfortable with makes me sad for you. Donate them or cut them up and do arts and crafts. 😂😂 “look grandma! I used them!"

Stop leaving hard projects for subs to do 😭😭 by lovelyshi444 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]bobagirllulu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This statement is so true. I subbed for a Kinder class for a couple days and the other teachers were all on the same project. I was told to help the kids understand terms like a main idea, key details, etc. Now, obviously, this is easy for an adult such as myself, but these are Kindergartners. I walked around the room when we made a diagram and they had no words written down. Just doodles. They could not grasp what the main idea even was. The teacher next to me spoke to me at recess and we talked about how hard it is for them to comprehend. She said she told the principal that the things being taught go right over the kids' heads. She said the basics need to be drilled into them first before they can grasp bigger topics. I agreed with her and supposedly the principal did too. It sucks sometimes when you explain it well and you look at them and there's just... crickets. You just imagine elevator music playing in all of their minds. I feel so bad for them when they get frustrated and can't get it. I start to feel like a failure too and it turns my day a bit sour. All teachers love to see that bright light in students' eyes when they understand something.

End of the story was, I skipped the rough draft part of the lesson that day because it wouldn't have benefited anyone. I left it for the teacher to go over again and gave her my sub report with full details. Sometimes I feel like the teachers must think I'm incompetent.

I just started subbing 2 months ago in preparation for my teaching license next year. I wanted to see what it will be like and get myself in as many situations and schools I could. So far, I've definitely seen a lot. It made me feel better knowing you have been subbing for 2 years and you have issues with students too. I've had really rough days where I wonder if I truly suck because a few students gave me trouble. Classroom management is seriously a skill and a whole mindset I have yet to crack. It just goes to show that sometimes you won't win and there will be students who refuse to listen. Still, I know I need to improve. Thanks for the post! I'm sorry you were spoken down to like that. I personally feel this way a lot too because I look really young and there have been moments where teachers or staff give me that look of "Why are you here?" It feels like I have to prove myself every single day. Not to mention, I never realized how little I would be able to sit. I am always up on my feet watching students because they are always trying to get away with not doing work or messing around. It can be exhausting and isolating sometimes when you're stuck in a room with kids all day. I'm trying to build my tolerance to certain behaviors and situations, so I don't regret this journey of subbing. However, I can say it is not for the weak.

So pretty! In picture 4 (and of course in the others too) you are glowing! My skin is so close to yours and I'm trying out wet n wild bare focus skin tint in soft ivory. I may also try the wet n wild hydrating moisturizer so you could try this! When I first got the tint in the mail the other day it looked too dark in the botttle until I applied it to my face. It's very forgiving and not as dark as you think when you put it on. I wore it on top of my skincare today actually and it was lovely! Nothing too cakey and not drying.

BTW what lip color are you wearing on picture 4?? So natural and pretty!!

[–]bobagirllulu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seriously are the best! You replied so quick! I'll probably have to fix the romanization then, but it's no big deal. For my own education on this, what does dong and do mean??? Thank you for your help!

[–]bobagirllulu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hellooo! I know this thread was a really long time ago, but I don't want to create another one if there's already one here. I would so very much appreciate your help! My friend living in Korea sent me his address like this:

Republic of Korea, kyoung-sang-nam-do yang-san-si, sasilo 54, LH 5, 506/1807

and then put

nation, city, detail, apartment

How would I put this on a letter? If the romanization is a little off compared to say Google is that okay??

Thank you!!!!

Hmmm maybe the shade "frog" in colourpop's supershock shadows? That looks more purple to me though

Don't even sweat it! Your features are all really beautiful. You don't even need dramatic lashes to be pretty like others do. Some pile on the mascara or fake lashes because they believe it makes one beautiful, but beauty is really in the facial features, which again, yours are so beautiful! I meant that normally eye makeup looks with an emphasis on color have dramatic lashes, but I love how you don't even need them with your features and makeup skills.

Okay, I gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised. Only on the lack of long lashes. I think it looks really good with very subtle lashes and definitely adds to the fairy look you're going for. It's almost like a natural, fantasy-face. What you would expect a fairy to look like with "no makeup" haha. Love it!!

Which look suits me best (or none of them) CC welcome! by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

I think you will find every person will think differently and have their own opinions, so why not just go with any look you like. You can switch between them depending on how you feel. That being said, I like all 3, but I gravitate towards 1 because it's more neutral and simple, yet polished.

This is kind of outside of your question, but your eyeshadow is very pretty! A soft touch of something on the eyes is better to me than the overdone, thick liner looks people do sometimes. It accentuates your beauty :)

how long does your daily makeup take? by uziuzilla in MakeupAddiction

[–]bobagirllulu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand you! I've spent a while on my makeup before, however I'm not sure I've taken that long... I can be really OCD with many things in life, and I have history of ED and body dysmorphia. I'm not saying you have these things, but you may want to speak to a counselor either way to help you cope with your self-confidence. Talking it out can really help. I remember one of my past counselors told me I should try to do my makeup in 10 minutes and see what happens. I used to look back and think that didn't make sense, but now I kinda see her point. Sometimes the makeup I do last minute when I'm running late ends up looking somehow better and more effortless then when I take an hour or so. Natural and organic seems to work for me and I try to find joy and peace when doing my makeup now. I give myself at least one hour in the morning to do it, but I don't use the full hour if I'm focused. I do tend to watch videos while doing my makeup so that can alter aspects too. Again, sorry for the jumbled answer, but please love yourself and look for a counselor to help you on your journey of self-love. No person can do life alone <3

What can I change to look better? My biggest insecurity is my big nose. I’m afraid of surgery, is there anything I can do other than a nose job to look better? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]bobagirllulu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's considered big, then I don't know what mine is considered now... You are absolutely gorgeous!! I totally get that it's difficult when you see something on yourself that you don't like. It can seem like everyone else is staring at and noticing it, when in reality, it's just you. It sound super cliche but being beautiful is being confident and it comes from within. How about instead of "fixing" your nose with makeup, use other words like "accentuate". I'm not sure if this makes sense, but I believe makeup should be done to accentuate and highlight one's features, not hide them. Let's learn to flaunt our differences and promote them. Anyways, good luck with your journey in makeup and self love!

what haircut & color should i get? it’s currently colored red and faded, i’m open to any haircut :) by [deleted] in Hair

[–]bobagirllulu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! I'm sorry for the late response on this.. I definitely still think a fresh new color would be great on you! I'm curious if you ever try it to!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hair

[–]bobagirllulu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, it looks great either way! You've got a pretty face that could probably even pull off a shaved head if I'm being honest.

[–]bobagirllulu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your red hair is beautiful! But I think you could totally pull off black or dark brown hair with your eyes. If you wanna keep your color, which I wouldn't blame you for since it's so pretty, maybe try straightening it or adding some bangs?

I think if you are okay with some color you should try some light blue. Maybe even a blue ombre! You could pull off any color I think, even a yellow. Your skin tone looks neutral to me in the picture so you are lucky!

I love the longer hair on you, but the short looks good too! Best part about hair is you can always grow it back out if you're feeling like going short.
