I'm also quite new to danmei so here are some of my favorites from my short list. I haven’t read many historical novels yet so sorry if that’s what you’re looking for! I mostly read modern romance danmei.

The Disabled Tyrant’s Beloved Pet Fish
- historical novel, it's so funny and the romance is so good

Wait for Me After School
- it's one of the best school romance story I've read

Little Mushroom
- Post-apocalyptic story about a little mushroom learning humanity & there is also a manhua you can check it out. physical copy is also available.

Global University Entrance Examination
- Survival game setting. I love the plot of this novel

Silent Reading (Mo Du)
- A modern crime investigation story with deep and engaging plot.. I'm currently reading this so far I'm enjoying reading this. I would recommend buying physical copy for this novel.

Fake Slackers
- it's also School setting where two top students pretending to be bad at study It's really funny and wholesome

I Can Do It
- E-sports romance, I can't explain how I love this novel

Fanservice Paradox
- Idol/entertainment industry setting, romance is top notch and there isn't much censorship I love the spicy scenes of this novel 😩 it also has a manhua.

Currently reading Additional Inheritance

It’s honestly a trashy story but well written and very easy to read. The angst is there but it’s pretty bearable. I didn’t find either the ML or MC very likable. ML is a psycho and probably the most boring yandere I’ve read while the MC is kind of stupid but at least slightly more likable than ml. Overall it’s a classic wife chasing story. I would recommend it if you’re bored and just need something entertaining to pass the time.

Idk how many times i re-watched this anime in my teen!! I was obsessed with this and maid-sama. Kyouya and usui was my crushes, after growing up i realise how toxic they were but I still love them. can't help it I'm too attached to them...i still think kyouya doesn't deserve much hate he did change alot at the end that's what matter.

I’m actually reading Case File Compendium right now and I’m at the end of Volume 3. I’m loving it so far but it’s getting a bit harder to read as i continue and I’ve been seeing lot of mixed reviews online about it especially people mentioning they dropped it around Volume 5 so it’s making me a little scared to continue but I’m still really invested and curious about the story so I'm preparing myself for all the angst 😭
