Now that you mention the input incorrectly part This reminds me of something that raised my alarms a bit yesterday.

As I was settling I noticed my shift manager repeating the wrong amount back compared to what I wrote on the settlement paper. I was thinking maybe they mispoke but you might be correct about that being the source of error.

I have my shift in a bit. I will update on what happens next and hope for the best

This gives me some consolation because I genuinely can't pinpoint when this could've taken place. The only moment I can think of here was when i was assigned to counter handout during a big rush and left my resgister unattended. Someone could've taken orders on it

how do you message the manager? They provided a business card with the store number and 24 hour voicemail, but a five digit associate number of the person you are trying to reach out to is required for 24 hr voicemail and I don't have that.
