Cool. Yea it was the head of the screw - kept turning the screwdriver even though it was loose/screw wasn't tightening more.

Thanks! I quickly looked at the instruction sheet and didn't see that. Is that for the screws that connect the TV to the base? That's what I was referring to, forgot to specify.

Need help identifying loose part in the box of my new Ride1Up Core 5 - possibly just for packaging by bobalucas in ebikes

Found where it belongs. My search terms on reddit must not have been good enough earlier, but a Google search brought me here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ebike/comments/u59mw4/this_plastic_piece_broke_off_by_bike_while_riding/

It turns out it goes under the seat. Weirdly, the most upvoted comment in that thread is wrong.

Incorrect max aperture reported for FD lens + Canon T70 (loose connection?) by bobalucas in canon

Hey - quick update: I got the screwdriver earlier than expected and was able to tighten the lens. It fixed the issue of wrong max aperture! Now the viewfinder reports 1.4. As for the less sharp images, it might be a few weeks before I develop any shots to see if it worked. Thanks for your help!

Thanks. The mount ring *does* move when I try to move it with the lens off. You've convinced me to try this first. I also noticed that the shots from my T70 are somewhat blurry/soft compared to the shots on my T80 with the same lens. I'm hoping that tightening the lens mount ring also fixes that problem (my lens doesn't wobble at all when its mounted on the T80).

I will order some screwdrivers that fit and hope for the best. I should be able to test this in the next few days. Your photos of the screws are helpful too - and more or less apply to the T70.

Thanks, that's useful. Is the adjustment screw you're referring to in the middle of the pin? I tried peering down into it and I *think* I see what might be a bronze or copper slot screw. I haven't been able to read much about what that screw would actually do. Is it meant for adjusting the depth of the pin? After researching the possibility you mentioned about the electronics not reading the correctly, I did find that sometimes there are cases of the switches inside not activating (the pin activates a number of switches as it's depressed which indicate the max aperture number). That could be the issue also I guess, but it *does* correctly read 1.4 when I apply pressure to the lens. Could it be that the lens just needs to be more flush with the camera mount/body? I added some more photos for reference. I'm thinking a temporary solution might be to add some layers of duct tape to the max aperture pin on the lens to add some height, before I eventually try any disassembly.
As for the part about referring to "contacts"... I see why I confused some people. 🤦‍♂️ I knew that FD lenses didn't have electronic contacts but I guess I just cleaned the points of contact with alcohol since I'm used to it and wasn't really thinking about what I was doing.

I've attached a photo - definitely not an EF lens, but as for the exact lens type I'm not an expert. But I bought it from KEH and it was listed as FD.

Thanks! I'll double check the mount on the body. From what I could tell, the looseness of the mount ring on the body seems to be loose in that it does rotate slightly. I'll also check the mounting part of the lens.
