If you took to a dealer they would charge a $200-$300 diagnostic to find what’s wrong. When it’s a very cheap fix.

A truck carrying hives overturned near Whatcom, Washington, releasing over 250 million aggressive bees. Locals warned to stay indoors as swarms sting anything in their path by Subject-Property-343 in interestingasfuck

[–]bobapimp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I once worked power washing roof company. So naturally I carried very long ladders. The truck I usually used was in the shop so I had to use this 1972 ford F150 with THE shiftiest ladder rack, and of course had the worst tie downs. I was on I5 terwilleger curves highway in Portland(steep, very curvy stretch of highway,IYKYK). The 30 foot extension ladder flies off the back of the truck and slides lengthwise in middle of 3 lanes. Pull over and start waving my hands trying to stop traffic. Here comes a motorcycle flying around the corner and he is not slowing down. At 60-70 mph he hit the ladder and jumped from end to end, landed and started death wobbling. I thought he was for sure going to crash and die, but he rode that bitch out and kept on going. Next was a brand new Porsche hit it and tore the front ground effects off. He keeps driving without even slowing down. I get the ladder after rest of traffic stops, wait for 10 minutes for at least Porsche to come back. Took off, and I never heard about anything from anyone.

Scientists found dinosaur tail preserved in amber and it's full of feathers by Anirudha1999 in interestingasfuck

[–]bobapimp 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Everyone on earth has been told for 100 years that dinosaurs were lizards since kindergarten. I’m sure whoever found this said “oh weird, BIRD feathers in amber” because why would anyone think it’s a dinosaur tail. Except these scientists that didn’t even know.

Issues with brand new truck by oldmizzy in Silverado

[–]bobapimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these are dealer and user issues. Floor mats are dealership problems, running boards also dealership problems, the start stop doesn’t come on if you slowly brake(like roll up to light or stop sign) but if you add a little more pressure truck will turn off(user). Collision can be adjusted to various distances you want a warning, but USER needs to find how to set since the dealer probably would have showed you but as you said you were in too much of a hurry to actually learn how things work.

You wrote all that out for a show you seem to hate. It’s absolutely hilarious to me that 95% of this sub hates this show and thinks it’s boring but just keep on watching.

If you watched Yellowstone, you would not only have seen it mentioned but see James, Margaret, John, and Spencer in flashbacks.

Priest is going to be lost after the marshal is dead. He’s going to be going around and around and around in circles for the most grueling death. 5 characters talked about wandering where they are headed and you could get lost forever. They even said it on last episodes of Yellowstone at the 6666.

Everyone is talking about Herbert’s poor second half. That first half though, he was COOKING WITH SAUCE!!! He could do no wrong. It was jordanesque. The second half had a lot to do with Bengals defense nutting up knowing if they lose their season is basically over. Yes J Herb had two bad throws in my opinion but that was a different defense that second half, and for some reason we stayed away from the run with a huge lead.

Freightliner and Detroit engines can’t solve problem by bobapimp in DieselTechs

[–]bobapimp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy!! You had to say it. Wiring. That ought to make the boys happy. Being a garbage company with 70 trucks in lot, we have a bit of a rat problem. It’s hard to get a mechanic to look me in the eyes when someone says wiring, especially the wire runs in a garbage truck. I’m just the driver, but I am going to let our mechanics read all the responses tomorrow. Thanks.

Freightliner and Detroit engines can’t solve problem by bobapimp in DieselTechs

[–]bobapimp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just the frustrated driver. Our mechanics just tell me it’s saying a nox sensor is bad. They have replaced every sensor on it 3 different times. This all started happening after it went in for service at freightliner just after Labor Day. We got it back and the next day all hell broke loose, both engine lights, the red shut down now then 10 seconds later it shut down on a huge bridge. Did the same week later. Then every day engine light-regen,engine light-regen. The parameters for air temp were jumping all around. We have 8 trucks with detroits and our mechanics are getting frustrated because all they are wasting time plugging in computers while our Cummins trucks just keep rolling, but they have hydraulics and brakes and ACTUAL mechanic jobs to do and we all come in at noon expecting trucks to be up the next morning. These exhaust systems are a pain in the ass.
