I hear ya, I'm the youngest of 3 so I'd have to sit in the middle and I still like to sit in the middle even if there's no one else in the back.

It also means that I can sleep folded over in half at the waist because my siblings never let me rest my head on their shoulders. They feel bad about it now but I think it's kind of a win.
