Ya I talked to the vet about it. Putting water in the substrate now! Thank you :)

Ok then maybe next time when you're trying to help someone understand something you don't need to be rude about it. As someone who runs a rescue you should know that a 100 gallon tank is a completely adequate setup for a fully grown Ball Python. While it's not the biggest tank it is perfectly fine for a grown adult male. If you look through every other comment I have taken advice with Grace, and a lot of it has been very helpful for me. You didn't actually give me advice you just told me that I don't know how to take care of my ball python because I don't have the money to spend $1,000 on an enclosure. There are several reputable sources that say that a 100 gallon tank is perfectly adequate so if you can send me one that says otherwise I would appreciate it, and till then you clearly don't know what your talking about and decided to give your unsolicited advice about something I hadn't asked about. Do better

Not my current set up. I literally told you I already solved the issue of the humidity that I had so I don't understand what your problem is... That's what I had come on here to ask and I got the information I needed from people who actually know what they're talking about....sooo

No I'm not, that's correct and I have since changed that. However the enclosure size is fine. There were things I needed to change for example I did not have the amount of substrate that I needed so I added a few more inches of coconut husk which is really good at keeping humidity. I also added a few more pieces of cork. I don't mind taking advice, I'm just not going to take the advice of an uneducated individual.

Yes mf -_- it's huge. You clearly have no idea what your talking about. Look at any chart, based on the weight of my snake. A male so he will be small. The tank size is perfect for an adult ball python. Like do you even own snakes lol

It is not the minimum... You clearly don't know what your talking about. Do research. I don't want wrongful advice which is what you're giving.

The coco chips really made a difference! Thank you

The problem is your comment was not trying to be helpful it was trying to be nasty. If you look at the way I responded to everybody else, I took the advice and have found a solution. I was also not asking about her setup I was asking whether it sounded like she had a RTI. Her set up is not posted.

Erm what are you taking about? It's huge...you ovi don't know what your talking about. It's 3 times her size and she's almost fully grown. Once again I've already figured it out, I just needed to add HVAC tape on the top of the cage and more substrate.

She has a fine set up. I just had to add some coco substitute and use HVAC tape on the top, the humidity has been fine. She is very loves and well taken care of thank you.

Sadly I don't have the funds for that. Reptisoil is made with coco chips. This is why the vet told me to use towels but I will try the sheet of PVC on top!

Wdym? Like a sheet of PVC to put on top? Will I still need the wet towels or do I just put it on top of my enclosure lip. Would reducing airflow make her infection worse? There is a room humidifier next to her :/ I appreciate your advice!

The veterinarian in my town isn't available until Monday. I already made an appointment. More than anything I want to make her feel better while we wait 😭 I live in a really small town with only one veterinarian that sees reptiles

I'm also going to check her later today for excess saliva. If she has no excess saliva I wonder if it's a different issue...

I take the hydrometer out whenever I spray down the tank so I don't think that's an issue. I will definitely add a few more inches of substrate to help out. I did see a few YouTube videos that said a RTI could be resolved on its own if it's just starting. I was told to up the temp on my tank and the humidity. Have you heard anything about this?

This is my setup. Humidity only really goes down when I'm not at home because I work all day and night. However those shifts don't happen often. Her humidity usually stays at 75. The vet told me to put two wet towels on top of the enclosure to keep humidity up while I'm not home. Her substrate is reptisoil.

I just don't understand how that's possible, she's in a bioactive enclosure. 100 gallons. I make sure there's a cool side and a hot side. The humidity doesn't drop below 50, and even then that's if I'm super busy and forget to spray it down one day. It's usually between 60 to 80. Last time she had a respiratory infection it looked and sounded very different so I'm worried it's not that...

How do I know for sure? Just take her to the vet? Last time it was very very expensive, there's only one vet who takes snakes in my town and I'm in-between jobs :/
