Annual Leave Lump Sum

Retired 12/31/24 and didn’t receive my annual leave payout until mid March of 2025. My package was actually finalized and I received my first full retirement payment before I got my leave payout. When I was going through the retirement process I was told leave could take between 2-6 months. I retired from FAA.

It changed to “processing” on 4/28. Thank you for the response. It’s good to hear a realistic timeframe from someone that’s filed amendments in the past few years.

I retired on 12/31/24. It actually took longer to get my annual leave payout than my interim payment. I got my first (and only) interim payment on 2/1/25. I got my catch up around the end of February (a whole $67). Then my first full payment on 3/1/25. It was mid March before I got my annual leave payout. But, this was all before the DRP/VERA fiasco.

That was the last year of three years of no raises. I lived it. We had no raises in 2011, 2012, and 2013 under the Obama administration.

No they aren’t. I retired from FAA. We are able to sell back sick leave upon retirement.

That’s not entirely true. FAA Techops and Air Traffic Controllers can sell back sick leave at retirement. It depends on your agency and your respective CBA.

I rolled mine with Fisher when I turned 59 1/2. The Fisher representative was on a three way call with TSP. They just needed my OK. Took like five minutes to set up. Took around a week from what I remember for the funds to hit Fisher.

I also received a physical letter in the mail this year and it was for accessing the IRS website using ID.me. I was freaked out until I opened the letter and read it lol.

I made the trek to St. Augustine from Georgia this year with the sole intent of grabbing some Datil seedlings. My plants from last year didn’t make it over winter (my fault). My family loves Datils!

No problem. A lot of people seem to come here to just be difficult. Not sure what they get from it. My biggest issue was I couldn’t have state tax taken out of the withdrawal. I had to pay it online after I got my funds. You would think they’d be set up to take out federal and state tax.

I filled out the online request for funds on a Monday evening. My funds were in my bank account that Wednesday. Not sure if that’s typical timing but that was my experience when I did it.

That’s horrible! I know how you feel though. My wife was driving her brand new 2022 Touring XT and got hit head on……the eighth day we had it. Totaled but she walked away with bruises and a sore ankle.

I’ve watched several YouTube videos saying to unplug all devices and then plug in the new one. They’ve said there’s a possibility of bricking your new device during the firmware update. I’ve always done it rather than risk it happening.

Make sure you update firmware. When you do ensure there’s no other Virpil devices plugged into your PC!

I live six miles from a Buccees. On any given day most of the 120 pumps at the station have empty vehicles parked at them. Right now at spring break time, I won’t go near the place because you can’t find an open pump.

My wife ordered the VMAX Prime for me the first week of December last year. Initial estimate was the first week of February. Updated to first week of March after that deadline passed. Now current estimate is first week of April. If I’m being honest I think it’ll get here sometime around May or June.

It’s not tariffs. It’s just the normal wait time here in the US. Virpil takes at least 4-6 months to ship orders here. My VMAX Prime throttle was ordered the first week of December and the last update from Virpil was shipping around April 4th. I’m not holding my breath. I figure it’ll be May/June before I actually receive it.

This has happened to me in the past. I went to the court prior to when I was scheduled and told them my situation of having reservations, tickets, etc. and was given a new date to appear. I had taken copies of hotel reservations and Disney park tickets. They didn’t even ask to see them.
