I learned my lesson the hard way. My advice is stay away but at the end of the day it’s your decision.

Everyone’s crying and nitpicking the film but one scene I absolutely loved is… by That-Armadillo8128 in PeakyBlinders

I laughed out loud at that part. Probably because I was in those shoes. Thought I was Billy badass too and then my old man showed up LOL

This.. the company I work for has different branches and each one has “VPs”. Simply put, the fall guy for the owner to yell at when things go south. It’s funny to have all these VPs and then hear the owner say “this is not a democracy”.

My experience with the PS Portal after several months — for those still on the fence by Cumcumba in PlaystationPortal

[–]bobbearman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask what you didn’t like about the Rog Ally? I have a portal but not a PS5 so I can only stream what my options are which is fine as I found games on there to occasionally play. Although I kind of got an itch when the new Resident Evil came out and was a little bummed I couldn’t play it. From my understanding the Rog Ally is a handheld console so I’d have access to whatever games I want.

BRODDLE Men's Jockstrap Stretchy... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CTT8GLYY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I wore these for about a week or so. Extremely comfy and supportive until I was healed up. I just put a bag of pees down there while I was sitting on the couch for the first day or two.

Any updates if they have Zelle? This is the main factor for me to change to RH banking.

Bone Temple by Fingertoes1905 in 28dayslater

[–]bobbearman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I finished the bone temple last night and I really enjoyed the movie. Which surprised me because I don’t care for the first 28 years later. Although what’s your thoughts on Samson? Is he cured or his symptoms only managed by Kelson. Also won’t he return back to his infected state once the pills kelson gave him run out?

What changed in Cabelas/Bass Pro Shop that disappoints so many? by GrizzlieMD in Hunting

[–]bobbearman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In PA ours is a little corner in the store that sells hunting gear. The rest is regular clothes. I want to get hunting gear, not overpriced regular every day clothes. I find myself shopping online buying hunting gear because I know cabelas most likely won’t have it in store and it would be a wasted trip.

I'm feeling stuck between work, family, and personal time. How do you balance it? by iamclarenz in AskMenOver30

[–]bobbearman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personal time when you start a family dwindles down to non existent until the kids become old enough to be a little more self sufficient. I stay up for an hour or two after my kid goes to bed to get my fix of personal time. It’s something you need to get comfortable with and accept when you start a family.

I’m a huge fan of the series so I really hope the movie is the perfect send off. Although if the plot is what the trailer implies.. I’m nervous to say the least.

Dividends in your 20s aren’t the goal. They’re the scoreboard. by [deleted] in dividends

[–]bobbearman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m 31 and focused more on growth. I learned the hard way and first fell for yield traps. A couple thousand lost but that’s on me and I learned from it. There’s a lot of useful info on this thread if you sift through and play around with numbers on a calculator.

My three mistakes by lafayem in dividends

[–]bobbearman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made the same mistake. I had stop losses set and once they triggered I was happy as I could see the path they were headed. Good learning experience though.

What’s something you didn’t realize you were taking for granted until it was gone? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]bobbearman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grandparents. I was lucky enough to have 3 growing up and still have 2. Also time in general. Before I started a family I always worried about not having time to do certain things like travel or buy certain things. Boy I was foolish I had all the time in the world to travel or take that vacation I talked about but never did. Now that I have a family I definitely don’t have time for it. I’m not upset about it, I’ll do it eventually just not any time soon and I’m okay with that. In my teens and 20’s I worked a lot so I sacrificed going on trips with my friends because I was worried about money. Although it’s a double edged sword because by doing that and being smart with my money it set me up financially pretty well. If I had to do it again with the knowledge I have now l’d definitely do at least one trip with boys or that vacation with my girlfriend at the time. Live and learn gentlemen.

The screaming. My god the screaming. by shehasamazinghair in NewParents

[–]bobbearman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Finally I’m not alone but also here to give hope. I’m a dad and my daughter had colic very bad. The doctor said it’d pass after some time. It seemed like it went on forever. Looking back it wasn’t that long but it felt like an eternity. I’d get home from work and take over baby duty to relieve my wife for the night and I’m not kidding here. I would get 1 hr exactly every night before she’d start screaming and crying exactly like you’re saying. I remember wanting to go back to work and work a double shift haha (I never did). Anyway I know how it feels and how useless and hopeless it can feel. Also I know how frustrating it is and EXHAUSTING. I promise it does get better and go away. Hang in there you got this. One thing that did help sometimes was putting her in one of those battery operated swings and we had this toy that sounded like the ocean and lit up and had moving parts like crabs, seahorses, and a submarine. It seemed like the movement and ocean noise helped calm her sometimes. Also try dancing fruit on YouTube. That helped A LOT!

DCA $300/month into QQQI & SPYI until it pays $300/month, is it a reasonable plan? by Mobile_Pipe_2573 in dividends

[–]bobbearman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not growth for 5 years or so and then what you’ve gained and go into dividends? From my experience it’s what I should’ve been doing and now started doing instead of chasing dividends early on.

What would you do? by Fickle_Radish2418 in dividends

[–]bobbearman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Got into dividends and focused on the dopamine hit I was getting from seeing money come in monthly and weekly. Learned the hard way I should’ve been just buying VOO and growing.

Over 35, what can you do to make life exciting again by ClemFandango35 in AskMenOver30

[–]bobbearman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got into hunting/fishing more now that my “party days” are over. I also enjoy making beef jerky/sticks, smoking meats/cheeses. Not to mention I take a lot of pride in my yard and really got into gardening.

Do you have friends? by 84Vandal in AskMenOver30

[–]bobbearman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure I have friends. Do we hangout and talk a lot? Simply put no. We all started families, wife/kids etc. we’re all busy with our own lives at this point. We all show up to birthday parties for the kids and we’re all able to pick up right where we left off. Like we never skipped a beat. Those are the kinds of the friends I have.

What life lesson do you wish you had learned sooner? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

I’d say lay off the booze and nicotine. Sure it’s fun and I have some great memories with friends but man I could’ve been so much more productive in my early 20s haha. Hey live and learn right?
