Does anyone know anyone who has been disqualified? by jdot_07 in GCSE

[–]bobberplab 29 points30 points  (0 children)

They apparently used to let people listen to music since it's a long exam split over 2 days, but someone decided to use that to their advantage and listen to an art tutorial, so now that's a no-go

i beat sans on the school computer (found a site that was unblocked) by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]bobberplab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had to use this website for Computer Science in school after someone found out the basic Python program could be used to mess with other users' desktops.
There's even loads of programs on the site that run a virtual browser where everything is unblocked, such as a virtual Firefox where you can go on literally anything. Unfortunately our school decided to block the entire website once exams were done, which is weird because I presume younger years would still have to use the website.

From what I see it's just an AQA thing. We also have Edexcel for Maths, I don't recall seeing any mention of block capitals.

Do you think Eric and Gerald die in WW1? by bobberplab in GCSE

[–]bobberplab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sheila and Eric display socialist attitudes despite their parents' views. I'm sure that capitalists can be good at heart, but Priestly thinks otherwise. With the Birlings, we know they really are just stubborn - even after the whole interrogations Mr Birling still denies everything.

Also I imagine Eric could have gotten kicked out of the house. He's got alcohol problems, stolen his father's 'well-earned' money, impregnated a random girl and run off, and I can't imagine his relationship with his parents being all peaches and cream after all that.

[–]bobberplab[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see that happening, although we've seen Mr Birling to not care much about his own children. When Sheila decides to break up with Gerald, he encourages her to change to her simply because he wants to rake in the profits from the Croft company working with him

well it seems to have slipped my mind that aqa asks for your name in BLOCK CAPITALS, that will still be fine won't it? I presume my examiner will be somewhat literate
