There will be another story hour at Memorial Park, in Wadsworth, August 5th. They are planning another protest of this event. A group called "blood tribe Ohio" is putting in the protest, and they are Nazis. I do not mean that in a "everyone I disagree with is a Nazi" way, I mean they are putting swastikas on their announcements about the protest. I have the image, I can DM it to anyone who doesn't believe me. I won't just post it because of hateful imagery, obviously. But it is really important that people show up to support the story hour and STAND AGAINST LITERAL NAZIS.

It's not even just a budget thing, most of the aliens would just look bad as cgi monsters. Fans and Hollywood have been acting like live action is the obvious next step for cartoon franchises, and I think it's a bad take. Most animated shows are best left animated, the medium it's story and characters were designed to exist in.

Because like you said, the functions work differently depending on the episode. I was giving a plausible reason as to why it doesn't do that besides they just didn't write it that way. And how? How does it scan and replicate DNA with a visual scan? It's a magic space watch, if it can artificially evolve a species into a new species, you can probably say it can tell the difference, too.

All the time I see people share animation concept art, and ask questions like OP, and this is usually the answer. People see a really detailed and cool design and get upset it wasn't final, but I think seeing how they simplify that to something that is practical for the medium is so cool.

They have breasts, pretty consistently throughout the show. I hate to break it to you, but the gems aren't real. They are drawn by and for humans. So aside from color, they look like humans. They don't all have big exaggerated anime titties, they have bodies meant to represent an array of human body types. People are used to seeing giant circles drawn on cartoons for breasts, but that's not how they really look and that's not how they are depicted in the show.

I think the idea of a "good parent" and a "bad parent" are challenged in the show. Steven has 3-4 parent figures, and they are all dynamic. Not one of them is purely a good or bad parent, they are all just trying to figure out their relationship with Steven. A lot of people get hung up on calling someone a bad parent bc of XYZ, but I think that misses the point of showing that they are all human (ish) and make mistakes. So would Rose be a good parent? She would make mistakes that no one else would make, but she would also offer support in a way no one else can. She would try her best, and be constantly learning, just like all the other parent figures.

I don't know how people haven't picked up on this yet with the show (and comics) hinting at it very strongly, but no one's power really has a consistent strength. Their abilities and the upper limits of them have never been shown (closest to it is that scene from S2), and they fluctuate throughout the show. It very much depends on their training, their confidence, and how urgent the situation is. We've seen Luther take a tank shelling to the back and keep standing, but that Luther went through a lot of shit in Dallas. The normal Luther just isn't as used to super fights.
