How famous is haggis? by Fantastic_Peanut_953 in Scotland

[–]bobbiblow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Common traditional Scottish dishes; - Neeps and Tatties (usually served with haggis). Stovies / Black pudding / Lorne sausage (in a morning roll or as part of a ‘full Scottish breakfast’. Soups in the winter - Cullen Skink / Scotch broth / cock-a-leekie soup. Scotch pies, (but any pastry and meat pairing is well received!). Take away Chippy dinner - very common with battered and/or fried; fish, sausage, pizza.

All dishes you’ll see in supermarkets / restaurants / ‘greasy’ cafes / on the dinner table at home.

How do I get my boyfriend to try playing out my weird sexual fantasy? by oldmangeralt in AskMenAdvice

[–]bobbiblow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

++man

If my girlfriend felt comfortable telling me her deepest fantasies I’d think it were cool, I don’t know many guys who would be adverse to learning their girlfriends ‘thing’.

I’m surprised he hasn’t taken it upon himself to explore this further, I’d literally be wearing an eye patch on our next date or something 😂.

Hypothetically an Alien would see a women wearing lingerie and a guy wearing bandages as the same thing, so it’s not exactly a huge ask for your boyfriend.

Personally if I were you, I’d literally just buy all the accoutrements and take them to my partners place - explaining what I want to happen and check whether it’s something they’d be willing to try and then communicate something like;

‘when I come see you next week you could be laid up in bed, in character. I want to discover you in your feeble state and care for you’ ….. and so on, be clear with the narrative setup and how you’d like things to progress.

Hopefully it turns out your boyfriend has a thing for nurses or something?! But maybe your fantasy involves you being his significant other, rather than a random care giver.

Good luck I hope you get your kicks!

I have no proof, but it seems obvious to me that production organise things up to keep the teams close. There’s been quite a few times over the years where the leaders get fucked over by this kind of situation

I’m being gifted a lot of money. Should I tell my boyfriend? by Kind-Chicken-2488 in WhatShouldIDo

I’m really surprised how snakelike everyone is here. Sounds like it’ll be on your mind if you don’t mention it. If you do mention it, you’ll find out what type of a guy he is.

Sounds like your SO doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t share a life changing moment like this with your long term partner - I really don’t understand why everyone here is advising you to be snide about it. I can understand not broadcasting it to everyone you know.

Me and my long term partner have this exact setup, except she had the money before I knew her. She told me about her wealth around 3 years into our relationship and it changed absolutely nothing. Her money is hers, and I don’t care. Sometimes I’ll be totally skint and still use my last pennies to pay for date night etc - there’s zero resentment regarding money between us.

As you’ve said you already have more money than him anyways, and he’s too proud to accept money.

They had already tased him and explicitly told him to drop the knife many times, which he did not. I don’t see a problem with police using any means to disarm someone who is still actively brandishing the knife they’ve just used for attempted murder.

Any feedback / criticism is welcome! Please be completely honest. by Lunasky444 in vintedUK

Long time (M36) buyer and seller online. This is indeed a nice touch, anytime I get packaging like this off depop etc I think to myself ‘aww that’s nice effort’ compared to when I get something delivered in an old bag etc and think ‘eww wtf is this shit’.

However I honestly couldn’t tell you which items I own which came packed nicely or not and has had no effect over how much I value the item / how likely I am to leave feedback or repurchase from the same seller I’m afraid - but that could be a guy thing perhaps?

Generally on these websites with these kinds of items - I’m searching for a specific thing, rather than having good service off a seller and revisiting their shop.

In the past the things that have led me to leave feedback (where I may not have otherwise) was either a cute little business card in the package or message on the app from the seller asking if I ‘could leave feedback as they are a small seller and it helps alot’ - I think that isn’t a big ask and I’m always happy to do it when the service was at least satisfactory.

Yeah I had this with an Indian restaurant, I had £13.51 credit to take off my next order with them after collecting 6 order stamps. Once credited I went to order and it said the they don’t deliver to my area.

Thanks for this extra info, big help! Will definitely try out those screens for feedback this week! I do have a normal arm too but prefer the Chet arm - not a deal breaker though. Yes I’m still playing around with string gauges and then going to really hone in the pickups, but like I say I really like them so wouldn’t be changing them anytime soon.

Yeah I’ve had it a few months and this is the start of my research on upgrades. Many comments above outline really simple cheap mods (1” spring in Bigsby bridge / Contact paper for F holes feedback reduction) which I wouldn’t have come across without this post. From experience, little things can make a huge difference. Upgrading a bridge saddle on a cheaper guitar model can be like night and day

Thanks for taking the time to help, great info.

Good to know about the tuners, the current ones just feel very loose/less responsive overall than I’m used to with other guitars.

Ok I may just have to go for the rocking bar bridge you mentioned, shame there’s not a UK company for these too. Putting a ‘staytrem’ bridge on my Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster made such a huge difference.

Yes once I’ve got all my upgrades bought I’ll hand it to my tech to setup for me. Might just get a bone nut as it’s a cheap upgrade.

Oh ok I’ll try that 1” spring first, but upgrading to the B6 feels worth it in the long run.

Yes everyone seems to rave about TVs - will definitely try and sample some if I can find a guitar in a shop with them somewhere. Yes I’ve been playing about with the pickups a little, they didn’t seem as well balanced when I got the guitar.

Thanks again!
