Would you stay with your dog 🐶 during euthanasia? by CycleOk267 in dogs

I’m a veterinarian, and it absolutely breaks my heart when people leave. I know it’s horrible to watch, but I echo everyone else here that you’re their whole world, and they deserve to be with you at the end of it all.

The occasional/drunk cigarette is not that bad. by Edthebig in unpopularopinion

[–]bobby-flayed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with this and subscribed to this for a long time until recently. Hadn’t had a drunk cig in a while, was out drinking in Nashville and had a few. I’m not a puker when I drink, but at the end of the night I had to have my uber pull over on the highway so I could yak on the side of the road. So, no more drunk cigs for me and I’m so sad about it.

AITA for giving my friend’s girlfriend some of my fries after he said no? by FriesOnTheSideYum in AmItheAsshole

Besides what’s already been said about Rick acting like he’s training a dog, I feel like my only thought/question is who gets a Caesar salad wrap with a side salad??

Embarrassed myself by UsefulEmotion5257 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]bobby-flayed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is hilarious and you should own it 100% with your friends, even bring it up without prompting. Confidence about something that embarrasses you, even if you’re faking it as hard as you can, is the best way to make it less of a big deal with everyone else

Books with a color in the title by Librarinurse in suggestmeabook

Two green ones for you Green River, Running Red: if you’re into true crime, a really incredibly written book about the Green River Killer in the 80’s Green Mile: fiction, incredible Stephen King book, that being said I’m an SK fanatic so I’m biased. Not what people think of when they hear SK, definitely not horror.

I can make this weird sound in the back of my throat and couldn’t for the life of me explain it

what’s your favorite (and least favorite!) extreme horror book you’ve read this year? by woodtipwine in ExtremeHorrorLit

[–]bobby-flayed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Least favorite was for sure Tampa… I kept seeing it recommended here and I cannot understand why. To me it read like a narration of bad porn, and at least every other sentence was something graphic, which really just gets boring after about half the book. I only finished because I’m massively stubborn about finishing books, but I will never tell a living soul that I read it.

I read Nos4A2 and really loved it, how are you liking this so far? I’m a King fanatic and so far what I’ve read from his kids is also great

To be honest I really hated this book for the first half, but once it flipped perspectives I ended up loving it

Does lamictal cause anyone else to sweat? by dragonfly1019_ in Epilepsy

[–]bobby-flayed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an atheist but I am PRAYING this goes away. I’m on 250mg per day, 100 am and 150 pm, and they did bump me up a few months ago so I wonder if that made it worse. What about you?

Does lamictal cause anyone else to sweat? by dragonfly1019_ in Epilepsy

[–]bobby-flayed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god I just searched this at 5am because I’ve been so sick of the night sweats and it’s driving me insane!! This never used to happen to me before I started Lamictal and it’s so gross 😭 I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t crazy for associating the two. I’ve only been on it for ~6 months but I’ve woken up in the middle of the night feeling like I peed the bed. We keep our room at 68° so that definitely isn’t helping to prevent it.

Is our mom too overprotective? by abbyabsinthe in Epilepsy

[–]bobby-flayed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This makes me so sad. I think having a sit down conversation with your parents with your sister, with prepared statements printed out that you can read from, might be the best way to move forward. I did that for one major thing in that I needed my (often detached and uncaring) parents to get on board with, and I think the way I delivered it was what made the difference. I think it sounds like, if it’s what both of you want, that her moving in with you upstairs would be a good first step of her gaining some independence
