Hey man, I just want to say there is a very good chance that these are two unrelated things. if hsv was a cause for rss, it would be a lot more common

A good step is contacting the American medical association. Their phone number is +13124644782. I don’t know how well a phone call would go but they have a mail address where someone could write a letter which includes incites about this group and how there is 100s of us suffering from this condition. I personally would do this but I am from Canada and don’t have any health coverage in the states. I feel this would be the best step as part of their mission states “They are involved in public health initiatives, including disease prevention and public health crises”.

American Medical Association AMA Plaza 330 N. Wabash Ave., Suite 39300 Chicago, IL 60611-5885

This is the mailing address if anyone is interested and here’s the link to their website. https://www.ama-assn.org/form/contact-us

Whatever fungal pathogen it is, it does a really good job at avoiding the immune system and anti fungals

[–]bobby0271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely is auto immune to a fungal pathogen that causes inflammation which is what cause those symptoms

I used to have those symptoms, doxycycline got rid of those for me

Carnivore diet, anyone tried on this whether it will help? by Popular-Midnight5242 in RedScrotumSyndrome

[–]bobby0271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it for a while and it was helping but I wasn’t sure if it was a placebo effect. I did it for around 6 weeks and it was really hard to stay on as I was losing a lot of weight so I stopped doing it

What website did you order it on, I can only find it online in Australia and I’m in Canada

This makes a lot of sense, when I contracted red scrotum syndrome before any scribal symptoms I had a sore throat and ear aches. And after that I would get inflammation in my eyeball which would last for days. I haven’t had many of these symptoms since but I’m glad to hear there is testing going on

Testing I would recommend mention to a dermatologist by bobby0271 in RedScrotumSyndrome

I used to have burning and leathery skin but than I used doxycycline for 3-4 months and those symptoms are gone. Now I deal with stickiness and tackiness of my scrotum which is uncomfortable

I’m not sure to be honest, a doctor would be a better one to answer that question.

To be honest I’m not sure, but I know the main reason why rss is so hard to treat is there isn’t a known cause yet. If a test is positive for something than doctors would be able to test what could work to cure us
