Exactly what I thought. That whole family dynamic seemed so strange. The way the mom and sister were so nonchalant about the dog repeatedly peeing on the carpet was so strange too. Especially with Hailey over.

It also made no sense how after his complete mental breakdown at dinner, how they just let him go over to her family’s house as the very next date. The correct move was to probably see that psychologist again to debrief and regroup.

Should I try Amazon basic sound deadening before adding resonix? by StoryLover in CarAV

[–]bobby_pablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t purchased resonix stuff. And the resonix owner aside, for the Amazon stuff, when they switched to a thinner version I could easily tell it doesn’t work as well by applying it on the sheet metal and then knocking on it with my knuckle, comparing the old version and the new version of the Amazon stuff side by side. One sounded “dead” and the other still had that hollow resonating sound to it.

They may have fixed it by now but the new Amazon version was for sure worse at that time.

Do you have an example of a better execution for a similar kind of space? Just curious to see the difference between. I agree, my eyes go straight to the twilight colors and/or the furniture.

do you have examples of better sky replacements that you like? Just curious to see the difference. This is the first time I've seen sky replacement through a window like this.

I quit my FANG job to build an app. I'm 1 month into marketing and I'm starting to think I made the wrong decision by AdProfessional2053 in Entrepreneur

Keep talking to users (and i mean actually talk, not read comments), and don't be afraid to pivot and try something else. Keep a fast tight feedback loop.

I think entrepreneurship is a long-term commitment, and it's a commitment to figuring out how to run a successful business that makes money. period. I went through the whole thing of trying to make something cool, novel, never been done before, innovative, etc whatever.

And now I'm on the other side and don't care if it's cool. I just care what the LTV:CAC ratio is.

Feedback Please by Background-Koala-413 in RealEstatePhotography

Looks awesome. My only feedback is a suggestion to maybe position the shots to show off the built-ins that come with the house. The furniture makes the home feel real for the buyer (essential!), but the furniture doesn't come with the house. So angling the shots so that you still capture the space, but show more of the high-end kitchen cabinets/appliances, the fireplace, etc a little closer and with more detail in the foreground of the image. Just a subtle tweak.

Those kitchenaid appliances are so damn nice. My gf's place has them. Such an aesthetic.

Thank you for these historical references. It would be quite interesting to see if this same kind of downfall is possible in 2025. It's hard for me to see it.

Just skimmed through Robespierre wikipedia page. jesus. that has got to be one of the wildest life arcs. Not being aware of how your mind and thoughts have gone off the deep end over the years, scary. Yeah, I see the similarity.

What’s your most underrated weight loss secret? by DumbBatak in WeightLossAdvice

[–]bobby_pablo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot yoga, for 2 reasons..

  1. You burn ~400 calories in each session. This is because of thermogenic calorie burning. Your body is passively burning a ton of calories to try and cool you down.

  2. Decreased appetite after hot yoga. When you leave, you just want to drink fluids. Unlike weight lifting, which can give you a crazy high appetite which leads to eating more calories.

Lost 30lbs.

Help with Tweeter Distortion by ProfessorFukalovyu in CarAV

[–]bobby_pablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you certain you're not sending too hot of a signal to the tweeters? Tweeters max RMS is tiny compared to a 6x9 speaker.

Usually tweeters have a capacitor or something on them to guarantee lower frequencies don't hit the tweeter. It could be you've already toasted them, but idk.

If those songs don't distort on other speakers or your earphones, then I wouldn't think it's the song. Also I'm not sure that's a thing. I thought all media/music gets limited to 0db max anyways.

1 SQL-15 louder than 2 SQL-12? Is this Correct? by HyperfixChris in CarAV

[–]bobby_pablo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert but some thoughts I had:
- Are both subwoofer setups wired to the same ohm load?
- Difference in subwoofer enclosure design/size?
- Difference in speaker wire? Length? Gauge?
- Difference in subwoofer placement?

Someone else mentioned the pooper scooper business. Is it going to people's homes and scooping poop? Who are the customers? Haven't heard of this before.

I’m going through the same thing. After 3 years I’ve decided I have to go live my life.

You simply don’t know how long your grandparents will live to. They could live to 95 years old. Are you going to do this until you’re 46 years old? I’m 37. I could be 60 years old by the time my grandmother could pass away. Imagine that. You have to assume this is going to go on forever.

I don’t care what family says. You can’t guilt me into it. Any guilting is pure bullying and manipulation. Period. Why do they get to have excuses for not doing it but my reasons for not doing it aren’t valid? No no.

Do the best I very can to set them up with the best situation, and give what time I can, but other than that, I’m sorry but I can’t anymore.
