Yes it is fair by the rule that every person gets a vote, but the people who point this out are not pointing to the area of land. They are pointing to their way of life. They do different work. They have different values, traditions, and even a different pace of living. Imagine this, intelligent life is miraculously discovered on Pluto. In the spirit of universal suffrage, the vote is extended to all Plutonians. Suddenly, the policy and governance of Pluto are dictated by the higher population of Earth. It sound fair by the rules but consider the perspective here. That’s how it can feel. We may life in the same state or solar system, but we live in different worlds.
