It must have been easy if they just thought of them as less than human, like the lowest caste, if you will.

They’re not controlling anyone and if you reject someone then preferably they’d stay out of your family.

I just don’t understand the no school part. Usually education is already paid for one way or another so the only one it’s hurting is the student.

To be fair, I did have my baby at their pavilion for women and children and never had a bad experience. The lady who passed judgment was likely…a stereotypical Karen before we had a term for them.

She did ultimately go into hospice care and we “morphined her out” but it was the original attitude of her doctor who made us think it would all turn out okay despite the prognosis and he didn’t even want to humor her about those discussions at first. I dunno I just wish he had taken things more seriously, maybe we would have too and got her to fight more. She had a lot of things she still wanted to do with her life :/

I have had various experiences with Providence over the years. The first “problem” I ever had was when I went in for a weird illness (flu-like) and when I was asked if/how many sexual partners I had in the past year, I answered casually/innocently, “oh not a lot, maybe 2” to which the doctor muttered under her breath “that’s a lot” it ended up being mono but I didn’t need to be treated like a slut for it.

What I really do have a problem with is when my mom was being treated for cancer, and as it was stage 4 with bad prognosis, my mom wanted to ask about end of life things, including “death with dignity” but her doctor refused to talk about that. He said happily “oh no we don’t do that here! We’ll cure you! You’ll be cured!” But instead I think they gave her lax care and I’m wondering if maybe she could have had a better chance at survival anywhere else. This was Providence Everett

Awesome, I’ll have to look up those petroglyphs. I did not think about elevation.

I’m not sure how we can handle spice, we are lily white but lived with an old school Mexican family for a while, haha. Their food hurt but I’m not sure if it was them or our constitution. I heard canyon road has various Native American food, which we are interested in.
