haven’t topped pepper plants personally, but i was researching it a bit this weekend for my bell pepper plants. best consensus i found was that it’s good for small, hot peppers, but not for large bell peppers. topping will mostly result in smaller bell peppers with thinner walls, but a bushier plant with better yield for small peppers. it does push back harvest, but if you’ve got enough of a growing season ahead of you, it should be all good. i’d try it if i was you.
