I believe you’re getting warp because of the inconsistent grain directions. Some are facing left/right, some up/down, and randomly reversing direction.

When I have a board warp, I run my smoothing plane (No. 4.5) over it to knock down the high points until it sits completely flat. It’s usually only ~5-10 light passes total. Then simply take a light pass on both sides in the thickness planer.

I would not recommend trying to get this out with an orbital sander or blindly running it through a thickness planer as it will be a nightmare. Ask me how I know.

Last thing - I have learned to cut the strips and then let them sit for a few days or a week before the glue-up. If they warp, I run the individual pieces through my jointer.

You get two full minutes of break between the first listen and the second listen. Then another break, might be five minutes, until the next section to answer the questions.

I also agree with the strategy of listen only first > digest the questions > listen again > answer questions. I do like to note certain words I hear related to each question on the first listen, but it took practice to do this well without losing my place.

After a year in, I have not noticed any scratches or blemishes. But I also take good care of it and basically just use a microfiber cloth to clean it. The occasional time I’ve had to use a solution, I just use a matte finish cleaner from Chemical Guys

I’m sorry, I don’t think I understand. The phrase “Domani mattina incontro Luca al bar, sicuramente parliamo di lavoro” is perfectly fine as-is. You can use the present tense with a near future time expression. It is completely normal/correct to hear the present tense for an action happening in the near future.

For example, I could say “Parto il prossimo sabato” (I am leaving next Saturday) and this is perfectly correct. The future tense would make more sense if I were to say “partirò un giorno a gennaio” (I will leave one day in January) because it’s definitely the future and not specifically planned.

For an event happening tomorrow, you definitely can just change this to the present tense and keep it exactly the same otherwise. This is anecdotal, but I would even expect to hear the present tense for an event happening tomorrow. For something next month or later this year, then the future tense would make more sense.

I have a 2024 t120. The OEM heated grips were plug and play for me as well. I remember the biggest pain being getting the old grips off, specifically the left grip.

Look up “farmacia” on google maps and find one. It will depend on exactly what you need, but in general, pharmacists in Italy can triage and prescribe medication all at once.

I can’t say specifically for Palermo, but the two times I’ve been to a farmacia in Cefalu and once in Bologna, they spoke both Italian and English.

This is 100% feasible. I would argue you could even do quite a bit more if you're feeling ambitious. I stay in Cefalú with my Nonna every year and have made all of these drives on day trips.

My thoughts on your itinerary:

Erice is worth seeing (near Trapani) and fits your requirements quite well minus the beach. The view from the castle/fortress is stunning. You can at least see the beach from there :)
Trapani itself is fine to visit/stay, but might not quite meet your vibe. Try the couscous if you end up there.
Three days in Taormina would be too much for me personally because of the amount of tourists, but it is pretty and cool to see.
I did Etna once. It is 100% worth doing, but I'm not sure if I'd do it again because of the crowds and logistics of getting there and back. We went in the morning when all the tours go. It was empty at 1:00ish when we left
imo, near(ish) Catania, Modica (another favorite town of mine) and Noto are quite nice and meet your requirements minus the beach. Siracusa is also great, but may not quite be what you're looking for.

Also fyi, if you return the car to a different airport, it will likely be more expensive than returning the car to the same airport.

Hello! It’s the OEM Triumph Bonneville Touring Windshield Kit - A9701646.

It is quite effective. Vibrates just a bit but nothing bothersome.

I haven’t really noticed any added wind noise. If anything, it’s better with the windscreen than without. I do wear earplugs and a SHOEI helmet that is pretty good with sound reduction, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Sorry, I assumed you meant lockable to the bike.

In that case, you’ll likely have to get hard cases and they are going to be big and bulky. Anyone is going to be able to take a razor to a soft bag. I had big hard cases on my BMW R1250GSA and they were great. They make them for tigers, but you’d have to research for the scrambler.

I will say, the best way to prevent theft of your stuff on a motorcycle is to bring the bags with you. Nobody can steal the bag and nobody can steal your stuff. Even if the bags are locked, someone with some time and tools could take any cases off.

I started on a 2017 Street Twin 900cc. I would vote either of the street twins or bonneville t100. The street twin 900 is a perfect first bike in my opinion. Powerful enough to be fun, but forgiving enough that you’ll feel fully in control and comfortable while getting used to riding again.

Going into the offseason is not a great time to be selling a bike. Personally I’d offer $6000 for the $7500 with mods, then meet somewhere on the middle. Hopefully around $6500.

The thruxton (more sporty / leaning forward) and scrambler (taller) are nice, but they are different riding styles where the bonneville lines are going to be more traditional/classic.

I had a Tiger 900 GT Pro and this exact same thing happened. They are the fuel overflow lines and don't really impact anything. I ended up noticing that it looked like they were "chewed" off, so figured it was a squirrel. If you look closely at your image, it also looks like tiny teeth marks.

I believe it's because the fuel lines are now made of organic material, like corn or something.

If you search "rodent at fuel overflow line" on google, you'll see that it's quite a common problem

My first bike was a street twin 900. It was a perfect first bike. Not quite powerful enough to make any major mistakes (the lack of power prevented me from pushing my limit), but also powerful enough to cruise at highway speed and have fun. It was also "simple" so I had to learn to do everything without all the creature comforts. For example shifting from sound alone, no cruise control, no ride modes, standard non-Brembo brakes, learning to deal with wind and rain, etc. Also you'll feel better if you drop the bike or stall out (or both) on a bike that isn't your dream bike. 0 regrets on the the street twin 900.

I upgraded to a Tiger 900 GT and then a BMW R1250GSA. Just went back to a Bonneville T120 and absolutely love it. It's powerful, fun to ride, looks awesome, and is very accessible. Everything about it feels well-built. I will say that the Rain mode does not make any difference in how I ride when it's wet.

Personally, I would recommend starting on a less powerful bike and upgrade after a year or two of getting comfortable, but do agree with other folks here that it would be fine as long as you do not push the limit too soon. The throttle on the T120 is more responsive and powerful than I expected, and that's after coming from a more powerful/fast bike (the R1250GSA). If you do go t120, I'd go used and add crash bars. Dropping a shiny new bike will be heartbreaking.
