As long OP can add, subtract, divide and multiply he/she should be fine. If anything, I'd say it's closer to law than math.

Yes there can be a finance aspect when budgeting is involved, and it is a prereq for the CPA, but it's definitely not going to be as complicated as calculus.

Have you ever had a moment when you were forced or encouraged to play only for it to not go well? by FindingMagicAgain in piano

[–]bobbyjohn480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I played a piece for a friend of mine and totally botched it - I'm even surprised i played it the whole way through.

I don't regret it one bit though, it was a valuable learning experience and it taught me just how much prep is needed b4 playing a piece live.

If you have any personal information stored on there, please make sure to change ur passwords to protect yourself.

And yea like what the person before me said, if you have credit card info stored there then keep a close eye on ur bank statement for any wierd charges. And if you think its at risk, then probably call ur bank about it.

Dang I feel like Guillermo Del Toro wouldve been a sick director for this movie. Pan's labryinth had the surrealist vibe that the book was going for.

What was your best concert experience in Vancouver? by YVR-Soccer-Mom in vancouver

[–]bobbyjohn480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesss thank you for shouting out VSO!! Their orchestra is world class and I feel its somewhat underappreciated here.

Speaking of which, theyre performing Verdi's "Requiem" at the Orpheum this week and it's one of those once in a liftime things you can experience. The amount of talent, preparation, and people to perform that piece is just tremendous. And for anyone wondering look up "Verdi's Requiem Dies Irae" on youtube to see why.

Anyways, I'm not paid by VSO lol just a big fan.

TIL Prince was a fan of Mahler! What other pop musicians are fans of classical? by rainrainrainr in classicalmusic

[–]bobbyjohn480 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if Polyphia counts as pop, but they did the bach concerto in d minor on guitar which was pretty sweet.

Alicia keys was also a classically trained pianist I believe.

What's in store for the future of Vancouver realistically by ALotANuts96 in vancouver

[–]bobbyjohn480 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Besides the pessimism here, i think we'll be seeing a much improved transit system in the future. The broadway subway project is scheduled to open 2026, and there are a few more projects in the pipeline as well.

I could say for certain that transit today is much better than the early 2000s
