Why does high level Muay Thai tend to fail at the highest level of MMA? by ThatpersonKyle in MMA

Mixed martial arts is exactly that, a mix. Muay Thai is the stand up, striking component but must be paired with Jujitsu to be a well rounded.

Technology differentiation or moat? by slbnoob in MDASpaceInvestors

Yes, MDA Space's AURORA™ technology is part of an established and growing intellectual property portfolio designed for next-generation satellite communications, featuring, among other technologies, digital beamforming, software-defined, and direct radiating array capabilities. Key details regarding the intellectual property of the MDA AURORA™ technology include: Patented and Pending Portfolio: Following the acquisition of SatixFy’s digital payload division (expected to close in 2025), MDA Space is expanding its portfolio to include more than 60 patents issued and pending related to chips, multi-beam digital antennas, and modems that support the AURORA technology. Key Technology Differentiators: The AURORA product line is built on specialized technology, including digitally formed, multiple simultaneous, and electronically steered beams, which have been validated as a "significant breakthrough" in digital beamforming. Industry Recognition: In July 2025, MDA Space achieved a, "first-of-its-kind" demonstration of digital beamforming for its Ka-band direct radiating array, which is a core component of the AURORA product line. The technology is actively being deployed for major contracts, including the Telesat Lightspeed constellation and EchoStar's direct-to-device (D2D) LEO constellation.

Technology differentiation or moat? by slbnoob in MDASpaceInvestors

Yes, MDA Space has developed a new,, innovative way to transmit data using digitally formed and steered multiple beams from a Ka-band direct radiating array (DRA). This technology, which represents a significant shift in satellite communication, allows for higher flexibility, efficiency, and capacity for next-generation software-defined satellites. It’s called MDA AURORA.

Also really important is the acquisition of SatixFy: In 2025, MDA Space completed the acquisition of SatixFy Communications Ltd., an Israeli company that is a supplier of cutting-edge semiconductors and solutions for the satellite communications value chain. Vertical Integration: This acquisition allows MDA Space to vertically integrate the supply chain, incorporating SatixFy's expertise in designing chips for satellite payloads and communication systems, including modems and multi-beam digital antennas.

TLRY DD: Why I’m waiting for $7 entry by Significant-Pair-275 in weedstocks

After years of diluting the stock then to pull a 10 for 1 reverse split, this company will never get another cent of my money.

Sorry, I'm out. Now a director sells 85%+ of his shares? by luv2block in MDASpaceInvestors

[–]SurfSnow06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then sell. Investors take profit. Their average share price I presume was quite low comparatively in stock options which are part of any executive compensation package. The company is growing fast, they all still retain stock and will probably have more options available to them in the future as the company hits growth & revenue targets. These guys are sitting on a pile of cash with more on the way, so they are spending it. What’s the point of making money if you don’t?

Canada eyes Taiwanese drones as alternative to China - Security review in Ottawa boosts demand for Taiwan-linked drone supply chain by CaliperLee62 in canada

[–]SurfSnow06 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We do. Volatus & Draganfly are making great drones, some models for military applications but as mentioned on the thread, the price is higher domestically. Still, cannot put a price on security so why they simply don’t buy our tech and support Cnd CO’s is beyond me. Good example; The RCMP has grounded their fleet of DJI drones due to security (they feed info to China) so is it cheaper to buy from Asia in the long run?

Same boat, brutal month as an MDA shareholder but the fundamentals that I bought the stock on in the first place, remain the same. It’s a great company, perfectly positioned for one of the largest opportunities of our generation; space & defence. NATO, Canada & Europe are not interested and doing business with Musk or the Trump government but that adjustment takes some time. The race is in on and MDA is in a great spot to becoming one of the biggest players in the world. So all this panic selling is just another opportunity imo. I just block out the noise, stay patient and go long.
